PlayStation today announced that its PlayStation Vue television service has expanded to the fourth-generation Apple TV, allowing PlayStation Vue subscribers to watch live TV and access other Vue features on Apple's set top box.

Priced at $30 to $65 per month, PlayStation Vue provides several different live streaming television packages that include live TV, sports, movies, and more, plus it offers on-demand video and cloud-based DVR streaming so recorded content can be watched across multiple devices.

Starting today, PlayStation Vue will be supported on Apple TV (4th generation), leveraging Apple TV's latest hardware to create an innovative experience. You will be able to take advantage of Apple TV's Siri Remote and easy navigation with touch, while enjoying PlayStation Vue's sleek look and feel. PlayStation Vue brings popular programming to Apple TV, from live sports networks like ESPN and NFL Network, to premium channels like AMC, FX, HBO, and Showtime.
PlayStation Vue subscribers can link their accounts to the Apple TV after downloading the PlayStation Vue app, which is available as of this morning. PlayStation Vue allows for content to be streamed simultaneously on up to five devices at once, making it ideal for families.

Time to sell my Amazon Fire TV. Hell the only reason I got rid of my ATV was because I couldn't use Vue.

Been waiting for this since Vue went national back in March. This will allow me to get rid of the Roku stick I have on the main TV, and have all of my online viewing come just through the Apple TV.

good lineup at a decent price point. However, with bandwidth caps it could get more expensive; especially since bandwidth will be the valuable commodity and ISP's will seek to recover revenue and margins through bandwidth fees as they lose cable subscribers. My ISP removes my cap as long as I subscribe to cable as a way to protect their revenue streams. is suspect you will see more hard caps and deals such as my ISP offers as the content delivery model moves from cable where they are also the ISP to 3rd party with cable as the ISP providing a dumb pipe.

Playstation Vue is great, I used it alot on my PS4, however they just unexpectedly ended a contract with Viacom and lost about 20% of it's channels last week.

I suggest you consider a class action lawsuit against your cable/ISP provider.

The Viacom channels will be back. Viacom has been attempting to increase the fees paid to them for their low value and low watched channels. Viacom tried the same thing with Dish earlier in the year and lost because Viacom channels aren't worth as much as Viacom thinks they are. This is why some cable operators have dropped all the Viacom channels.

Of course.. No UK app.

Of course not, their are tons of a la cartel apps for the Amazon Fire TV, PlayStation, Xbox, Apple TV and all in America only more or less.

In the UK We have Sky and BT and Virgin holding the monopoly on all content, thank God for Netflix and Amazon Prime so you can cut the cord in some respect, but nothing like you can in America!

Will this work even if I don't own a Playstation? Can I just sign up for the service? I've been using Sling, but it's pretty awful on Apple Tv.

If this motivates anyone to buy an Apple TV, here are the Black Friday deals on the Apple TV:
Target: 25% off 32GB/64GB
Best Buy: 64GB for $160

For people who have had both, how would you compare it to Sling?

It's light years ahead. Way better interface and no streaming issues thus far!

Yes. You need to create a PlayStation ID, but that's free and can be done on the web.

Still cant believe we dont have any proper catch up services except iPlayer... and now ITV wont even let us Airplay!

I literally only use 3 apps on my ATV.... TV Player, Plex and Music... now cancelled Netflix and NowTV as they were never getting used.
