Why you need the 17" and not the 15" ?

Am I insane for obsessing over this 17” MBP? Why can’t I seem to shake the desire for this?!?

i dunno. are you a compulsive buyer? do you easily envy possessions? whatever the case, only you know the reason why you want certain stuff. you might just want it, who knows? there are all kinds of things people want for the weirdest things and they might not even really need it - and this happens all the time.

i see you are going to use the machine for logic. i use logic as well as a PT HD rig on my Mac G5...i edit PT/Logic sessions on my macbook pro 15" when i am outside the studio and flying. if you are "in-the-hole" as a logic user, a G5 might be a better rig for you if you are going to be using it to seriously make music...infrequent use of an MBP just for kicks is a pretty big investment "just for fun," if you ask me..........but hey, it is your money.
