I tried installing ibrickr on my iphone recently.
It said it was downloading the files to my iphone and that it should take 3-4 minutes but could take up to 10.
It also said that if it took longer than 10 minutes to reset my iphone, close ibrickr, and restore it using itunes.
But when I tried to do that it wouldn't recognize my iphone and my iphone keeps switching display between the apple logo and a bunch of random coding in white lettering scrolling down the screen.
It allows me to turn it off, but as soon as i turn it back on it does the same thing.
My computer doesn't recognize my iphone connected no matter what usb cord or port i use.
    can anyone please help me?!?!?!?!?!?
and sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.

    help

To fix that you need to hold the sleep/stand-by button (top button on your phone) and hold the home button, hold it for a few seconds, then it will go into recovery or restore mode which has a iTunes symbol and a ipod connector wire (I forgot what its called.) Once its in that mode you connect it to iTunes. I hope you have a back-up file cause all your data is gone but its better then having a broken iPhone.

    Help !

I bought an iPhone 3G on the Vodafone network in India. My applications stopped working after I updated my iPhone. The songs on my iPod disappeared as well. I ended up restoring my settings and content and now the symbol of the USB wire pointing towards iTunes appears on my screen, but my phone isn't being read by iTunes. The guy who I bought the phone from said I can only update my software to 2.1. The only way I can fix the phone is if I set it in recovery mode in iTunes, but that will end up updating the software to 2.2.1. Is there any way I can fix this without having to update the software on my phone? Please help me, I'm desperate.

That's a problem solved not thru Restore mode but rather DFU. I'm on my iphone currently and can't fully detail steps. But follow the thread sticky on the top on this forum and you will be able to enter DFU.

That should fix it. After that remember, don't user iBrickr

Pwnage tool to create a custom iPhone software and keep your unlock, activate your phone to make it useful. Like I said before, I'm on my iPhone so I can't detail the steps. Just look at the sticky on the top of this forum.
