Please help: Upgrading to 4.2.1 from 4.1, 1604 Error, not Restoring

So I am stuck in recovery mode. I need to preserve my baseband as I am going out of the country soon.

I am using tinyumbrella and have all the latest softwares. Downloaded the ipsw from iclarified.

Ok i'm 3 hours in and frustrated. I found something about removing apple hosts, I did that, still nothing. 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Please help!!

If i forgot to save my shs's i'm f'd right?? could that be the issue?

Error 1604 or any 16xx Error is USB related, try rebooting your computer, changing USB ports and in last resort using another computer.

I'm an idiot and didn't save my shsh. So i was able to go back to 4.1, saved my **** and now i'm trying to upgrade again.
