Mark Gurman recently released a report claiming that Apple is working on fixing many of the shortcomings of the iPad, but I’m worried it’ll be limited to M1 iPads. I have the 2020 12.9” iPad Pro. If the report ends up being true but the M1 iPads are the only ones to get it, should I wait for a refurbished M1 iPad or wait for the M2 iPad Pro?

Wait for the M2 iPad Pro.

Even if Apple does magically 'fix' things, and its a big IF at this point given the numerous disappointments, this would still be BETA software. It won't be launched until September at the earliest. There is no point picking up a new iPad right now to run betas, might as well wait to see what the 'finished product' is like, at which point M2 pros should be out or quite close.
