I second the Brethaven
there actually IS a difference in quality of bag. While the one I have for my 15" MBP has its hiccups (zipper in the way when inserting the MBP), theres still a reason I bought it.
It is one of the few cases that is actually rigid itself. The corners are solid and the large planer surfaces (top and bottom of laptop) is actually very tought for its size.
I've seen so many nice bags with room for all sorts of stuff and this and that, but one good bump in the center of the lid, or (in most cases) a good bump in the accessory compartment = a point load right into the weakest part of your laptop.
So the case I have is very rigid for its size, and very very snug. slim to almost nothing, but i can still carry the power cord and a mouse....which really, is all you need if you're organized. Its also sized enough that I could put the case in a back pack if need be.
Like I said, a few cons, but the Pros make up for it in ways that I haven't found in other bags.
Hope this helps
