When you got the tracking info, what was the date they’d deliver? Did they make that it still late?
Yeah they had an estimated, then fixed Date of Tuesday September 28 but since it did not ship til following day from China to being out for delivery til next day it only corrected to the scheduled date of 9/30 on the 29th when it really shipped out of China and arrived late last night in Louisville. So its an estimated date given the time it takes when the pallets are ready to be loaded, unfortunately this year there seems to be a dearth of ready planes (my interpretation based on all I read) and maybe Covid-19 delay issues that UPS talks about somewhere on page for things shipping from that part of China.

I’m in the same boat and almost exact same timing.

I’ll get my trade in not tomorrow.

But my phone delivery now says check back for the date on UPS while the Apple Store app says 10/5.
I would go with the Apple Store App date. Mine went from 10-6 to 10-11 then to 10/1 in the app. The UPS app went to 9/28, then check back later, then finally updated to match the 10/1 updated date.

FlightAware app
That tells me nothing at all….

on a different note, my phone shipped and originally displayed delivery for 10/4 between 11:15a - 2:15p but bow this is my status… 😭😭😭

I just want my phone before I go out of town in the 6th….

How are people tracking flights?!
Flight aware app or website. You then put in the airport (like ZhengZhou to Anchorage in the route choices and usually you can find UPS planes. this year I could only find my exact plane as it left Korea. It was UPS99 which they seem to be using for some of the runs from Korea to Anchorage and then Louisville at which they have another plane (in Korea???) that gets labeled UPS99 and it continues. There are also other UPS flights as well from Korea on but I cannot figure out what comes from China. You look for the actual departure date/time from the location and then try to match it to flights that have departed. That is how I snagged UPS99 from tracking data to the flight data on Flight aware. Flighaware is available as iOS/iPadOS app, or you can use for free a basic non login account on their web site (I usually have both going LOL).

Website: https://flightaware.com/

Here is what you will see (I like the website layout a bit better than app):

Next enter your departure and destination airports I put in the Incheon origin and it gives several choices and Anchorage in destination which is first part of US leg.

And then click on the blue search icon at right of these two and you see this with all planes left and scheduled to leave Incheon Korea.

At this leg of Journey (I could not find matching plane times from ZhengZhou China so clueless on what plane it leaves on) you can likely assume with our batches this group UPS planes so go to the left of this and choose the refine flight results and choose airline turn off all and then select UPS and you then see this:

Note that for today UPS99 has left similar time to when it left yesterday with my phone now out for delivery. They switch actual planes as the other plane is likely still in US but heading back to get in the chain of iphones and whatever else is coming out of Korea from China. That is why others gave you the link for the UPS 99 that just left Korea if your departure from Korea matches the time then they have already found you the plane to follow. you can then follow your tracking. When it gets to Anchorage about hour after arrival your tracking will show. Same when it leaves for Louisville.

Hope that helps. Now some years and maybe with China other cargo haulers and airlines are used for part of the journey to Korea (or Taiwan) to Anchorage. At that point UPS picks up if not before.

Mine sat for about 6 days after “arriving at the facility” Probably coming straight from the factory to a staging area to accumulate enough pallets to fill the plane.

Mine as you probably have seen by now was in the group yesterday matching the shipping times and UPS99 out of Korea. What I never figured out in looking at departure and arrival times of planes from ZhengZhou to Korea a flight that took those pallets to UPS in Korea. There were cargo flights but times way off from the real departure time (at least in scan) from ZhengZhou. Not a big deal but usually we can figure out that flight also. Looks like UPS99 is the main (only) workhorse for the daily pickups of pallet accumulation from ZhengZhou. But what takes them to there is a mystery only nerdy folks like me want to know LOL

Did anyone get a departure scan from Seoul? UPS99 already left for ANK 🥴
Well for same pattern yesterday with my phone the scan for departure was more than an hour after the actual plane left before the UPS departure scan gets logged into system. Seems a little later than yesterdays pattern but as I tracked my phone now out —-and some early Am weirdness before rest of local tracking details filled in— I was seeing glitches in server being unable to refresh my page both online and via UPS app so maybe lots are doing this and the servers are a bit slow in updating or something??

Hmm that’s odd, mine is in incheon too but my ETA is oct 1st…

Thank you so much for such a detailed guidance and breakdown on this!

Well phone on truck locally and out for delivery I told my regular driver who delivered my trade in box yesterday I would likely see him again today — he laughed he has delivered my phones for several years now….

Anyway just to complete the info of tracking for the patterns I saw with the 4 day sitting in ZhengZhou that might be familiar and helping to others in the groups seeming to be in Korea today. Good luck to you all and to ones waiting still in China as well. Hopefully this group all gets phones before 10/6

You have the same final departure time as mine (which changed by two hours from 9:30 am CDT Illinois to yours at 11 AM). At least there is movement even if I am not understanding the time shift that happened with Korea departure.
Typically the scan will initially show up as the time it was scanned to be loaded on the plane, and will later be updated to reflect the flight's actual takeoff time. That happened to all of us who were tracking for launch day.

Here is my scan for the China to Alaska segment. For me departure never showed till after UPS99 left and it matched the plane never had the plane loaded scan. It was also impossible to find a flight from China to Korea that was even remotely close to those scans. Must have been a special flight

On a trivial issue for the few who are getting delivery today from yesterday’s batch (I think there were 3 or more). It’s on local truck out for delivery but today no follow my delivery option as a Myups member. Heck I could track my return box that came yesterday via UPS. Seems to be missing on website and apps today. Wondering if there are problems or my driver turned it off LOL. I know he hates it from friendly discussion over years. I want to obsess over why he went by my neighborhood. ;-)
