But if you want an accurate poll you should list everything.

The purpose of this thread has nothing to do with Power PC computers. It is about Core Duo, and Core 2 Duo.

If it bothers you that much, and it is possible to edit a poll, then I'm happy to add two more options, "Happy with MP", "Unhappy with MP". In that case, someone will have to tell me how to edit the poll.

If it's not possible to change the poll, then don't bother complaining.

First time Mac user after years of Windoze. Learning is a steep curve but am enjoying it, Computor works well in everything I have tried.

I joined this forum June 10th of last year and I bought my first Mac, my C2D iMac in late September. Couldn't be happier! I just wish I had enough to buy a portable on top of this amazing computer I already own.

i hate my imac C2D, i'm going to return it

even i can't say that with straight face :p

LoL who could blame you, you got the top of the line! Like mine, except with the extra RAM. It feels good to be part of the 2.33Ghz crowd :D

2% is unhappy. I love it!

The dang thing (core 2 duo 17") whines when I turn-up the display brightness.

I'd love it if it wasn't for that flaw, but it's annoying, and therefore makes me unhappy I shelled-out over $3k for it.

I'm very happy with my Core Duo Mac mini.

I've been thinking about upgrading to an iMac, (to just get rid of clutter, mostly. The Mac mini is definitely fast enough) but I'm not sure if I'm going to yet. I may wait until they release Leopard. Not sure yet.

No vote for me. I am 'meh' with my c2d macbook, seeing as it does a lot of stuff faster than my ibook but nothing I could not be without. I have one hardware glitch (the flickering screen) that is really meh and most of the other flaws are either ongoing OS flaws from PPC to Intel that has not been corrected, or new bugs on the Intel machines.

I am not impressed (and this was why I wanted to wait for Leopard before I went Intel. Stupid boss giving me a brand new laptop. I hate it :p )

Where the hell is the "Just Joined- Happy with Intel Core Duo Mac"?

My Mac Mini is a Core Duo, and consumer grade. Bought it in late 2006, it's the high end model. (1.83 GHz, Superdrive)

I'm unhappy with the overly complex and long poll, too much work and no free booze or food. :(

No. 7 - "Just Joined. Happy with Intel Mac"

Sorry about the lack of freebies. You could vote on the poll, dress up as a lady, and try and get some drunk guy at your local pub to buy you a drink...

...That's free booze isn't it?

Ahh, I kinda misunderstood the poll at first. I should've voted "Long time member. Happy with Core Duo Mac" but I voted "Just Joined, happy" because for some reason I thought meant "member" as having a Mac. Anyways, I've been 9 months on the forums between registering and getting a Mac, and it totally kicks ass. :D

That's OK. I forgive you.
More importantly, I love your avatar and location. Absolutely hilarious.

I've been lusting after an Intel C2D iMac to replace my Rev. B iMac G5 for awhile now.

Instead, I got a MB C2D and I love love love it! :D Definitely makes me wonder how nice a C2D iMac would be. Hmm.

Very unhappy with my (currently in for service) CoreDuo (Yonah) MacBook Pro. They've leant me a PowerBook in the meantime (1.67 GHz), and it's absolutely fantastic, despite struggling in areas where the MacBook Pro's processor would show it's worth.

The rest of the MacBook Pro was pretty dang awful though. Got incredibly hot, screen faded out, made a high pitched whine, battery started to fail, wifi crashing the computer & not seeing certain networks, SuperDrive swallowing disks & refusing to let me boot the computer until I'd left the whole machine to cool down (can take hours) so I could eject the disk.

Not a happy bunny, however I will be staying with Macs and demanding a Core2Duo replacement, as the failure rate with these seems MUCH lower...

I'm happy with my CD MacBook. The problem I had (battery) was unrelated to the processor!

I'm extremely happy with my CD MacBook. :)

The only (serious) issue I've had with it was when the hard drive died, but since it was replaced under warranty and I had three day old backup, even that was merely a nuisance...

I dropped by MR to write a few lines about my iMac today and found this poll. I´ll post it here instead:

I have had it for 5 months now, and it´s only recently I´ve done "proper" work on it.

I´ve been running Photoshop and Final Cut 5.1 a lot the last 2 weeks. Editing, working with RAW in PS, and TIFF´s and DV footage in FC. MAking DVD´s

Only time I ran into trouble was when trying to edit a sequence of TIFF stills in Uncompressed 8-Bit.
I can edit in DVCPro HD, but it starts to drop frames with formats higher than that.

I usually have 8-10 apps open, and I have no problems at all.

I´m very happy as to how this machine performs, almost amazed.
Couldn´t be happier.

PS I got 2gig RAM and the 256 Card

I couldn't be more happy with my iMac and plan on getting a Mac Book Pro soon. Not quite sure if I should wait incase they update them? :apple:
