ive owned the last two iterations of the plus, love the size, but I’ve transitioned to the X, which I am hearing is noticeably smaller in screen real estate, so I’m wondering how the transition feels so far?

My X is on the delivery truck as I type so I can provide my two cents later, but curious to get feedback from those that have already been lucky enough to use their new toy.

I'm wondering as well! Does the X handle landscape mode the same as the plus models do? I'm picking my X up in 40 minutes, so i will find out soon enough!

No, think of the X like a bigger iPhone 8 when it comes the UI. No dual pane UI, that's the only difference.

I was worried about the screen size too. But I used one for half an hour today in the apple store and I can say for certain that the size x is perfect. It’s usable one handed, but the screen feels more or less the same as a plus. It’s a great trade off. I was thinking I’d want the X Plus next year but I’d don’t think that’s an issue anymore. Theirs is the best phone apple has made by some margin. They got everything right.

It’s narrower, but is it so much so where it’s a deal breaker?

I've come from a 7+. The X feels much more comfortable in the hand and much better in the pocket. I loved my plus but this is easier to live with.

In portrait mode it feels quite a bit bigger. The extra vertical real estate allows for more content on messages, emails, webpages etc. The only downside is that it's a bit narrower so in landscape mode your pictures/videos are displayed smaller than on a plus with a lot of wasted space at the sides due to the odd aspect ratio.

So far I do prefer the X, and think the positives far outweigh the negatives. Time will tell.

this is how i feel. I don't know about 7+ but was its body as slippery as 6+ because i had to burden with that slippery screen espeically when using it with one hand and being afraid i might drop it. iPhone X locks into my hand and doesnt slither when i am typing with one hand. finally

The form factor is certainly smaller. The screen real estate, it is a bit narrower than the plus. I mean, I still love both the plus and X. If Apple decide to make X Plus next year. I will certainly go for that...

yes because i waited 13 hours so excited to get it got it on the upgrade plan and theres issues and major ones

I just arrived at my Apple store at 7:55 and was out the door in my car with my new phone by 8:03. I've had the plus model since 6s+ and thought I would think this X felt too small. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how natural the new X felt in my hand. Has a really nice heft to it and doesn't seem as "slippery" as it did when I was playing the balance-don't-drop it game when one-handing the plus. home button removal was almost intuitive. not crazy about app closure from half-swipe dock but I'll get used to it. I'm not a perpetual app killer so it's not that big of a deal. so far so good. just finished my restore and app sync and I've been impressed so far!! Apple did not disappoint. FaceID really easy and works well as many have reported. process flow for apps for validating log ins and purchases (non-apple applications like Amazon) still need a little work as I've found it kind of weird, especially apps not yet updated specifically for support of iPhone X.

I too was concerned with the narrower screen but it hasn't been too bad. I have an "old" 6s on Sprint for work and it's noticeably smaller than the X. I'd say the x keyboard width is somewhere in between the two. not too bad to type on quickly.

I’m loving the phone... but hating the transition this time.

I can’t restore from my backup because iPhone X must be updated first... update has been requested, but I’m still waiting since this morning... (it’s almost 4 pm here btw)

Wanna say sorry now nah cause not cos all I've done is be honest and this forum is full of bullies

Dude, u waited 13 hours on line and you did zero research on it? All the review from the last 5 days all showed the apps would look smaller! You really wasted 13 hours of your life that you will never get back.

I got my Cosmos Blue leather case and I am concerned.

I had the S8+ for a while and the thing that I could not get used to when switching from a 7+ was the width of the S8+ in comparison. It was too narrow and typing felt....crunched?

The width of the Plus many look at as a design bore and issue but it feels so natural to type on a wide keyboard like that with large hands.

I am quite concerned the X I have coming today will have that same "Crunched" feeling.
