It’s noticeably smaller / narrower. Gets some getting used to for me, plus the cutout also cuts into screen real estate

Keyboard feels a bit off but not as bad as a non Plus... I think moving the emoji and mic button down help

I’m loving the phone... but hating the transition this time.

I can’t restore from my backup because iPhone X must be updated first... update has been requested, but I’m still waiting since this morning... (it’s almost 4 pm here btw)

I'm really surprised Apple shipped the iPhone X with an old version of iOS.

I just finished updating and then restoring mine. I'm happy with it. Are the gestures going to take some getting used to? Sure. Is the screen narrower? Sure. But in the end, the display is gorgeous and it feels really nice in the hand. Face ID seems to work flawlessly as of right now.

Such as it is if you switch to any other form factor of phone, all of these same things that people are complaining about will all apply. If you buy a galaxy s8+ (I recently did and returned it), you have to get used to a different size screen, different keyboard, etc. It's all subjective, it's just a matter of "will you give it time?"

I've had the X up and running for about an hour and my 7 Plus is already listed on craigslist.

Feels smaller but comfortable. Not much of an adjustment needed. Screen real estate seems fine coming from a +. Transition has been easy.
It IS smaller... Why do people state the obvious that it feels or seems smaller in the hand?! It's slightly thicker too, and on the one I just held today, makes it feel far more comfortable to hold even without a case.

This. The glass back gives it a little more tactile feel to it. It's not nearly as slick as the aluminum. I feel like it's a lot less likely to slip out of my hand.

Patiently waiting for my X to be delivered within the next few hours

Coming from a 6+ this is exactly what I need I miss the days of one hand txting

Anyone wear glasses to set up FaceID? Or do the setup without glasses

The screen is bigger but the phone is smaller but it works. I still find myself trying to double tap the home button for reachability. Had to google how to force close apps and it still didn’t work. Going to take some time I guess I really like it though.

Went to the Apple store this morning to check out the space gray that I ordered on oct 27. Compared to my 7+ Its smaller and a little norrower. But the screen is bigger on the iPhone X Than the 7+. It’s going to take some time to get used to for sure, the good about the iPhone X you gain more screen realestate in a smaller from factor I think it’s brilliant! It’s going to be easier in the pockets for sure. It’s slightly bigger than my wife iPhone 7 I think it right in the middle of both iPhone 7 and 7+ in size.

After the 6+ and 7+ it seems strange when I first pick it up. Before the screen comes on it feels small. Once the screen is light up then it is good. It's a more comfortable fit in my hand. I don't pay attention to the facial recognition as when I pick up the phone I just swipe up and I am in. I have to pick up the phone in a different manner to be at the right place to do that unlock gesture but I am sure after a few days it will be more natural.
Over all I am pleased.

Color me confused. The specs from Apples website clearly show it's both wider AND longer.

I'm really surprised Apple shipped the iPhone X with an old version of iOS.
It's the update they issued earlier this week. All these phones were already boxed and on their way.

I went from a plus to a note 8 and within an hour I’m used to it. Specifically talking about the Note 8 though I do miss some of the screen real estate. There seems to be wasted screen for some things on the iPhone X .. even texting the keyboard is like... a third of the way up the screen

As someone who is getting old, I have required reading glasses for nearly a couple of years. I had transitioned from the standard phones to the plus phones when I went to the 6S+. I did not upgrade to the 7 but did get the 8+. I purchased the X and seeing (no pun) as I need to wear reading glasses even with the 8+, the X is fantastic. I am so glad I bought it. My daughter is going to love my hand me down even though it is a month old.

Its just been a couple of hours since I last held my plus, but I totally forgot about it! This size is perfect! If they make an X+, I am NOT getting it!

The Plus feels like a massive brick already. Absolutely love the X form factor. And everything else about it!

I’m still finishing the process of restoring from my iPhone 6 Plus backup. But first impressions so far are that the screen quality is sharp with great color accuracy, face ID has worked great so far quick and responsive, gestures take a little getting used to but I definitely see myself quickly getting over the lack of the home button. I know there seems to be quite a bit of disappointment among Macrumors posters, but in MY opinion this is leaps and bounds above the current models and I don’t feel there is any sacrifice coming from the Plus screen.

As a former plus user, I have had zero problems so far. The screen is large for my content viewing needs (better than my 7 I use for work), and much more comfortable in my hand than the plus.

i hate using cases but coming from a 7+ to the x i think a case on it will still make it feel small and perfect in my hand.

I have AppleCare on mine, so I’m thinking of going careless. But you’re right, even the silicone or leather case from Apple wouldn’t make it bulky.

I like my new X - but I actually wish it were bigger. Seems a bit small to me (especially coming from an iPhone 6s Plus). Why didn't they make it bigger or come out with 2 versions.

Are you switching to the 8+?
[doublepost=1509733661][/doublepost]I’ve used the plus models since it came out, never had a problem with the size or it fitting in the pocket.
Whenenever i tried to use the smaller models again, it felt so small and uncomfortable, kind of hoping i don’t feel that way going to the X.
