I bought this memory @Best Buy and the Geek Squad guy assured me it would work:

    PNY - Optima 2-Pack 4GB PC3-10666 DDR3 SoDIMM Laptop Memory Kit
    Sku# 4816107

I went home and installed it and got the three quick beeps when booting (memory not recognized error). Tried several times and same result. Reinstalled original memory and everything is fine.

Did I have the wrong type or is something wrong with my Mini? When I search for 1067 memory I get linked back to 1066/1333 modules?

    Thanks : ))

Nope, that RAM is fine for the model.
Sometimes, straight out of the box, RAM can just be bad. I've had it happen twice to me out of about 12 purchases.
I'd exchange the RAM for another, or just return it and get some from Newegg depending on how much you've paid.

    Maybe another brand?

I was thinking of trying Kingston or Crucial?

The one I bought was the last in stock, would require a special order but I think I'll try that again.

    Thanks : ))

that ram works more often then not. I have had more trouble with the 2010 mini and 2 x 4gb sticks of ram of any company. that mini is very picky.

I blame the mini more then the ram as I have done 40 to 50 of them and they reject just about every make and model of ram more then 15 % of the time. All other minis have had a better ram acceptance rate.

While I am just one person I have put ram into 200 minis since 2006.

Return the ram ask for a refund. try finding some samsung hard to find but good. is sold out of it maybe has some
