my last backup was four days ago... exactly what am I going to lose if I just jailbreak without backing up....?

where the hell do u do that at??

At the start of iTunes, were you chose to backup device, theres a tab under which lets you encrypt.

If you are an iPhone user that already has VPN settings set up, i think you need to turn on your VPN and then select the "jailbreak" VPN that was set up. Select that then turn on VPN and that should crash your phone, do the reboot and you will have Cydia.

Finally trying this as we speak.. Got chewed out in my Music Theory class cause I was trying to jailbreak in there

What's up with all this VPN stuff? How will I know if I need to do that?

EDIT: This post finally took me from newbie to member!

what if we don't have VPN settings... my phone wont reboot even tho Absinthe says waiting for reboot....

the jailbreak app on the home screen just takes me to the greenpois0n.com homepage. wtf? and the vpn option doesn't result in any crash... just error every time and thats it.

it makes no difference to me, as my backup isn't encrypted anyway, so i fail to see how unchecking that helps the vpn work

Still at "beginning jailbreak". My wifi must be retard & slow lol.

Gotta shake being so impatient.

I'm jailbroken! So awesome. Hope it stays as stable as it seems. Will be donating to all the people involved :)
