Nintendo is going to end up getting sued. The app shouldn't lead you into private property. It shouldn't have you going into malls or stores when you have no intention of spending money there. The Pokemon(s) should be located on public property like parks or whatever. Nintendo should allow businesses and willing parties to host Pokemon (whatever the plural is) for capture. I wonder how long it will be before someone gets shot for trespassing or because someone else got the Pokemon before them. People are acting stupid just to acquire a combination of pretty pixels.
Nobody has to trespass. People make conscious choice about catching a certain pokemon or not, plus the radius from which you can capture one is pretty big. Or else, soon you'll sue the MLB for inciting people to break windows while playing baseball.

Said no one ever.
People here actually take days off to watch keynotes and WWDC.

It's the first major Nintendo game on iOS. It's a world craze. It's generating millions (billions?) for Apple. That should be interesting to all in the apple ecosystem and as deserving of articles as any other events involving Apple. What's the cost to you? Nothing.
Ok, I just think the whole craze is silly but to each their own.

Which is different than claiming that people "praise" or "envy" those who do so.

WTH?? People jumping out of cars, to catch a game character?? Pure disregard for others who are on the road. SMH. Luckily, hopefully no one got hurt.
It's only a matter of time before we have Pokemon fatalities. Then it won't be as funny

Yeah, those Pokemon people have some serious issues eh... ;)

At least they are excercising , instead of standing in line like zombies...

I think you misconstrue. I'm not saying people that play Pokemon are bad. I'm saying somebody is going to walk off a bridge or run someone over and those are going to be the idiots.

You're welcome to take it however you like. What people do in their spare time that is no harm to others is their business IMO. Ignoring rules made for overall benefit, making yourself pizza someone else has to scrape up all qualify as harm.

That goes for the iPhone people too. I've never lined up for a phone and I never will.

Smh pathetic

But as long as they're having fun with their horse blinders on, right?

Apparently our view is in the minority. Or we're jealous - or something else.
Most of the of players aren't going to be a problem - all the power to them.

I love this game, been annoyed that its been down for so long for me... however I wouldnt do crazy things like run for some pokemon... give up my day job etc people are mad

I agree. I think the game is fun, but there will be crazies involved in anything, so no need to be so critical of everyone who enjoys the game.

There are crazy things that happen pretty much with anything, the game or whatever is involved is often not the issue, the minority that is involved in something crazy (intentionally or it) essentially are.

Love when people on MacRumors trash something that's popular.

Then again, this is the place that predicted the failure of the iPod :)
