Umm...I'm sorry but, this is silly. All over Justin Beaver?

Thousands of frenzied teenagers, who spent the night camped out by Sydney Harbour awaiting a concert by pop star Justin Bieber, surged toward the venue Monday morning, sending at least eight girls to the hospital and injuring several more.

Police canceled the performance after the swarm, which may have begun when rumors spread that the 16-year-old Canadian heartthrob had arrived early. In the crush, at least 10 girls fainted, and paramedics had to pull them out of the crowd, according to Australia's Network Seven. Of the eight sent to the hospital, one fractured her knee cap, though most had hyperventilated.

"We were expecting this to be the biggest concert we ever had, but we just couldn't have foreseen this scale," said Grant Denyer, the weather presenter for Network Seven's Sunrise program, which was planning to broadcast the open-air concert.

Police said the station was well prepared, but that the frenzy of 5,000 fans got out of control.

I've heard some people compare him to "being the next Michael Jackson"

I couldn't stand MJ (and it has nothing to do with the touching kids thing, I can't stand his music) but I can't deny his talent, and no one who uses auto tune as much as Justin Beaver does is going to be the next MJ.

In fact, I don't think anyone, auto tune or not, is going to be the next MJ.

Besides, once he hits puberty and his voice changes, he won't be so popular.

Minus the whole "touching little boys*" thing

*allegedly.

Eek! :eek::D

That's for sure.

All the more reason to stop him now.

Haha! :)

its just adolescent girls trying to fit in with their peers by liking the same boy.

its like that with everything.

its tough for a 13 year old to go to school and say hey..i love classical music..its amazing...

its much easier to go to school and say you are into the newest Ke$ha joint or jason derula.

im sure there have been countless of "studies" as to why we humans want to feel liked and popular at a young age.

It's pack mentality, that's all.

It sucked sooooo much. I was like lining up at The Rocks for hours to see him and it was a pretty chilly night and then all the girls that got there later started pushing from the back and I dropped my poster I made and then the police called it off and they didn't even say where he was and we didn't get to see him.

Were those people 11 year old girls? I don't see how that kid has shown even a glimmer of the talent MJ had. In fact, his keepers have him rushing to make albums as fast as possible because they know once that voice cracks (he's 16, wtf?) it's all over.

Yeah I know about that; my teacher in 5th grade had the nerve to call a parent-teacher conference to tell my mother that I was trying to different.

I knew I'd seen his name before... He's going to be performing in the concert place next door to me. I saw his name on the marquis, and said well, with the other high quality talent they bring in, no big deal. The Backstreet Boys and roller derby are there too this summer.

I'm thinking I need to be the hell out of the house for that one.

Who's he?

I keep thinking that.
I play TF2 on a server that has a public radio thing that accepts requests, some people keep (apparently jokingly?) requesting Justin Bieber. I don't use the servers radio but when his songs play a lot of people get rather annoyed and mass discussions ensue. I also hear about him on forums but I've got no clue as to what he is! Was he from the American version of X Factor or something? Or maybe the UK one? (I don't watch them so :p).

Man I'm out of touch!
