I keep thinking that.
I play TF2 on a server that has a public radio thing that accepts requests, some people keep (apparently jokingly?) requesting Justin Bieber. I don't use the servers radio but when his songs play a lot of people get rather annoyed and mass discussions ensue. I also hear about him on forums but I've got no clue as to what he is! Was he from the American version of X Factor or something? Or maybe the UK one? (I don't watch them so :p).

Man I'm out of touch!

Canadian kid that got signed from youtube by some rapper/hip hop artist that I do not remember....... or something along those lines..

Grown adults hating on a 16 year-old? I've seen it all now.
It's not a bunch of adults hating on the kid, it's a bunch of adults who (at least me) appreciates good music and misses the days where auto tune didn't exist. He has little talent past being a gimmick. Just relax.

I've heard some people compare him to "being the next Michael Jackson"

I've never heard that but then again I don't read Teen Bop magazine.

I remember being near the front at a big concert here in Cork some years back; and it was quite dangerous: you were in grave danger of being hit by a flying teenager as they were being yanked unconscious out of the crowd. I lost count of how many made their way up to the front, but were totally unprepared for the heat and the crush when they got there; and passed out.

It sucked sooooo much. I was like lining up at The Rocks for hours to see him and it was a pretty chilly night and then all the girls that got there later started pushing from the back and I dropped my poster I made and then the police called it off and they didn't even say where he was and we didn't get to see him.

hugz, girlfriend! xoxoxo

:D

I've never heard of him so I can't comment on all that but I will never understand the crazy overwhelmed screaming/fainting/etc reactions to celebrities. It's just pathetic. You can like them without freaking the hell out.

You know you're getting old when you don't know who the hell this guy is or why he's always trending so high on Twitter. But after googling him I decided this isn't a bad thing. :D

Yup. I was actually aware of his existence on YouTube before he got famous. The early stuff he posted was actually quite impressive for an 11-12 year old (according to my musical tastes, anyway). But once he got signed he's been putting out teeny-bop hip hop crap that I can't stand.

I think it's a waste of talent.

Will Canada be apologizing to the world for Justin Beaver or whatever the hell his name is? They apologized for Bryan Adams :D

I don't think Canada has to apologize for him, they didn't give birth to him and from what I understand he was discovered by someone here in the the US. Not everything has to end in an apology from a country.

Heh, I'm not being serious, it's a joke from the South Park movie ;)

Agreed, between reactions like this and the how people have to know when their favorite star takes a dump I worry about humanity.

Like this is new:

Is that an actual Justin Bieber song? The best his tiny little brain could come up with is "Baby, baby, baby, no!"?

Yeah, his lyrics will be Pink Floyd quality in no time

Let's be fair, Ludacris helped. ;)

Check out this fun quote from Wikipedia:

In an interview with MTV News, Ludacris said that he had to "dig deep" for lyrics for the song.[7] He said, "He's talking about [how] he's mad that his girl left him and he still cares for her. As soon as I heard it I knew it was a hit, I just had to figure out how I could get on a record with a 15-year-old. So I sat there and said, 'Let me reminisce on the past,' and that's basically how I stepped on the record. And I guarantee you, mark my word, that's going to be one of the biggest songs of the year 2010."[7]

I'm starting to feel like somebody should be apologizing for you.

OhmyGod!!!!!! He's playing near me. And for all you hating parents out there the Everett (Washington State) Comcast Arena announced it will put parents up in a lounge with TV's and free WI-FI. The parents-only area will be available before, during and after the July 13 concert.

:p

Justin Bieber doesn't bother me. I used to play a character who was the same race as him in Final Fantasy XI:
