Given all the issues with the keyboard, lets stop with the obsession of making the MBP paper thin and put a decent keyboard back into the laptop.

Unlikely as Apple want's to more sell a specific image, happily compromising many other factors to achieve the same...

90% of people don’t actually need anything but their power adapter on the go whilst using their laptop... Hence why the single choice of port is no big deal.

Wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the people who bought the MB Pro weren't pros either.
Us pros we really need this stuff.
Wasn't that long ago that Jobs would sell people on how the macbook pro has all the connections you need "build right into it".

Not sure which exactly. I think Apple offered the antiglare variant of the 15" using the silver bezel starting with the Mid 2009 model until Retina displays first appeared in 2013. Both the hard drive and RAM were easily replaceable then and you even had the option of replacing the optical drive with a second hard drive. Not to mention the wide array of built-in ports, including IR, digital optical audio in and out, 2 USB-A, FW800, SD, Ethernet etc. and Magsafe of course.
