If it has more RAM, I'll buy it on launch day. I don't care how much it costs, or how much I have to pay to get out of my current contract. I don't care about any other features, either. All I care about is whether it actually has enough RAM to function well, for a change.

Nope, I have a 16GB 3G iPhone from last July, so I will skip it and wait until whatever model is coming in 2010.

I say no, no matter the features or price. I spent too much $ on the first gen iPhone on ebay for T-Mobile that I want to use it up until it dies.

I think I will go back to BlackBerry once my iPhone dies.

Only if I can buy the new iPhone for the same price I can sell my iPhone 3g, which won't happen. I'm not going to spend money on a phone every year. The next phone will dissapoint a lot of fans. Apple will not impliment every possible feature available. The will intentionally not include some features so as to make you upgrade to the next iPhone in the future. If you think apple will impliment every available technology into the next iPhone, get ready to be dissapointed.

Yes, this^^^

I still voted that I'll wait & see, but it'll take some big improvements for me to upgrade my Edge iPhone

yes. I held on to my 2G rather than upgrading to the 3G, and now I want all the new features as well as the full functionality of the 3.0 software. I've also used up my 8 GB, so I'll need to at least go up to 16, and will probably go for 32, if available, for future-proofing.

Same here!

I'll buy it as long as it's 32GB or more.

Same boat here. I thought I was going to wait on that from the start until I got a $250 deal on a first-gen refurb when they were $400 for 8GB. After the 3G only had a 16GB option, I'm glad I did that. I've been able to use most of the toys on my phone at a lower monthly fee, plus I really like the aluminum case.

But I need 32GB like nobody's business as I upgrade my songs to iTunes Plus. I used to carry a lot of photos on here plus a video or two, but with about 700MB of apps, that's all gone. I know my entire music library still won't fit on here (where's that 128GB iPhone, huh?), but 32GB will be a good upgrade. After my GPS was stolen and the talk about GPS software being available, I am working out where to put my iPhone mount to use the thing as a GPS that can't be stolen since I won't leave it in my car.

If you can't tell, I'm past ready for that new thing to come out.

I voted yes as I've been waiting to get one for ages. I'm locked into my current contract until the 5th July so the timing for me is perfect for once.

I usually get a new phone and then a few months later the new model comes out and I get

My wife got a 3G a few months ago as she couldn't wait to ditch Orange and get an iPhone (White 16Gb) and I've been so jealous since.

Add to the fact that about five people in my office got iPhones after my recommendation, I can't wait to come in with the new and improved version.

I've at least got until July to wait so I'm not too bothered when it's released so long as it does come out at some point this summer.

ditch Orange to go to O2..??

wowsers....

For the sake of not creating a pointless thread, I'm gonna just ask my question that I've been wondering about here.

When you receive a phone call while having your iPhone in your pocket, with no case or whatsoever at all.. can some movement cause the iPhone to accidentally pick up on the call?

Oh, and while on the phone, having the phone stick to your ear (...?) can that cause the iPhone to end the call? By accidentally hitting the end call button?

I've been really considering these two points, and couldn't really find an answer, neither did I notice anyone mentioning them..

Thanks.

nope the call will not pick up in your pocket, mine goes naked and it never swipes the screen by itself, i don't think pants pockets could anyways

and the screen turns off when the phone is up to your ear, some of the sensors make it do so, so no, it wont hang up either:] dang those guys at apple are kinda smart:apple:

You need to slide/unlock to pick up on a call?

I know they are, heh. I was just wondering.

I know it sounds strange. I've been with Orange for 9 years and when I moved house I can't get a signal in it at all. All of my friends on O2 can, plus I can get an iPhone with a better and cheaper tarrif than I'm on just now.

(Apologies to OP for going a little OT)

I voted to wait and see just because i'm curious as to whether or not i'll be able to upgrade from my 3g. I would hope that AT&T gives all iphone customers the option to upgrade like last year.
