Poll: do you use Firewire 400 on your MacBook?

the only firewire cord i own is for my old ipod clickwheel....do the new ipods even support firewire? sorry if thats a dumb question.

So wanting firewire to be able to use Time Machine to back up to an external drive means I need a "Pro" machine?

Sorry, I just don't buy it.

That's why there's USB. Don't blame me. It could happen. Firewire isn't necessary and most consumers don't use it nor know what it is.

I still use mine with external caddies that don't have USB connections etc
