Wrong. I've tried -- autocorrect is guesses wrong for me at least 50% of the time. I hate everything about it and thank my lucky stars we can turn it off. You are confusing your own subjective preferences for objective truth.

I get around the keyboard pretty well with my right index finger. I guess it just depends on how you originally learned to type on the iPhone's virtual keyboard.

Phone in left hand, use right index finger to type/scroll etc... I've never been able to get the two thumb typing thing down, maybe my hands are too big.
I barely ever use one finger. Occasionally I will use one thumb, but generally I always use two thumbs.
Well, for me, I usually use two thumbs, but right now I'm using two index fingers, just to try it out,,,
Not too bad, as for when I drive, I have to say one handed with my thumb is the way to go,,,
As for OTHER,, I have used my nose, but only on the ski slopes, and for really REALLY short messages, and only when it's really , REALLY COLD! (and wife's already left couple of voice mails already!
I did learn the two thumb way on the sidekick II, really a great way to type on it,, real buttons to feel, don't need to look at most of the time when you type even,,,
Two thumbs does the trick and it helps to memorize the keys and most importantly the home keys. Never been one to hunt and peck on the keyboard....

Or i just use my thumbs, but i find the left thumb and right hand index finger very nice.
Welllll...If landscape mode was more prevalent in the iPhone, I would use that all the time and would have learned from the start to use two thumbs. But since I learned that almost every time you type you will be in portrait mode, I use my right index finger and have become accustomed to that.
With 3.0 on the way, though, that could change.
