ZERO

Not one. My old 2g did though in the beginning, then stopped dropping.
Tommyp - I suggest you start another thread with a real poll in it. I'd like to see the results myself. I think this issue has been hyped.

Sorry - I am a newbie and didn't realize there was a way to create a poll.

I think I experienced it today....I was in Carrollton and the signal was 1 bar or less when 3G was on. All of a sudden it would switch to Edge and I would get full signal. So I guess this means the WCDMA reception was bad in that location but the TDMA/GSM was still strong????

I'm getting too many dropped calls. I hate it and it's annoying. I have five bars and the phone has been restored for many times.

Dropped Calls?

I use my iPhone 3G in Sarasota, Tampa, and Bradenton mainly. Have had ZERO dropped calls since July 12 purchase.

ive been with cungular/att for a good 7 years and never had a dropped call... ever.

maybe that will change when i get the iphone but for now im good with my blackjackII

Warrenville, IL (Western Suburbs of Chicago)

I have had a couple of dropped calls since July 14th. I don't use mine away from home a lot though since I work at home (I get 4-5 bars even in my basement, I use wifi for internet at home though). When I do go out my 3G signal strength varies widely and is frequently 1-2 bars and sometimes drops to Edge.

Dropped and failed in Germany

I'm having so many dropped and failed calls on my 3G that I hardly consider it a phone anymore. And this in a city with good 3G coverage. I'm quite depressed about this.

Yup... I Live in Concord, NH and HAD an iphone and dropped nearly every call i placed. Cancelled my service, paid my early term fee, and never looked back.

the atrocious battery life is more of an issue than the reception for me.

If the battery was going to need 2X daily recharging with minimal usage, Steve should have just released this current form from the beginning.
