Unlike most here, I bought starlight, which for me is much nicer than the other colors. The thing is, it's warm, while I find the blue cold and forbidding (should be named ice blue). But it seems a lot of people really like it. Glad they didn't discontinue starlight.
One thing I really like about Sky Blue colour is that it changes apparent colour depending on ambient light. It could appear silver grey during the daylight, but then when I turn warm white light in the evening it appears almost baby blue. At one point I couldn't believe it was the same laptop. I like that effect.
I liked the Sky Blue because of how subtle it is. I normally go with plain Jane silver whenever possible so this is the first Mac of any kind that is not silver.
That would be silver.
Sky blue will be forgotton in next release.just light sierra blue iPhones.
Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro was Apple's second best iPhone color ever made. I am jealous when I see people who are still carrying it.
After the 11 Pro Midnight Green, which was Apple's best pro color ever made.
Third, the iPhone 14 Pro gold.

I’m surprised Rose Gold hasn’t come back yet. That was a nice color for the MacBook Air. I do like Sky Blue, though I’d call it Ice Blue. Apple will likely rotate colors in and out.
For me, it’s a tough call.
I don’t like Sky Blue or Starlight.
Midnight looks fine, but smudges and fingerprints make it look ugly and dirty all the time.
Silver definitely looks the best and has always been the best color match for all Apple computers and products in general (Apple TV, old iMacs, MacBooks, Mac Minis,Mac Studio).
The problem is, I’ve had a silver M1 for 2.5 years, and before that, I had a Space Gray 12”, a silver 11”, and before those, a silver MacBook Pro — so I really want a change from silver this time.
If Space Gray or Space Black were available, one of those would’ve been my pick for sure.

Good point. I have the M3 in Starlight and love it! I want the M4, but it would be hard to choose between the colors. I am a blue type of guy by definition.
I haven't purchased yet, but will probably go for the blue - not because it's new, but because I think it's pretty. (I'd get a green one if they made it, and it matched my iMac.)
I think the midnight Air now has the same fingerprint resistant coating as the space black Pro?
It still shows far more fingerprints and smudges than the spaceblack. We have both of those in our household between my wife and kids. It wipes off far easier than the first generation coating on the M2 MBA model, but is still prone. I am rocking the silver and I just love the classic silver look tbh
I went with Sky Blue. My wife has a Starlight Air, so it's kinda cool to have them be so similar, yet juuuuuust a bit different.
That sky blue is a nice color for sure. Which configuration did you go for?
