I think the results of this would be more meaningful if you had a "No" and "undecided."

That said, I'm upgrading this fall one way or another. I still have an iPhone 4 right now. I've decided the 4S has almost everything I want sans LTE. If I hate the 5, I'll grab a 64 gig 4S. But I don't see that happening. I'm anxious for the processor (with Siri), camera and 64 gig of space. I do hope for the black metal back we've seen in renders. That looks awesome.

Even LTE is of no use to me until AT&T announces it in Detroit. I'd love to switch, but my parents are on my plan with basic phones. The "share everything" plans are $60 more per month than where I'm at now. So I'm sticking with my current plan on AT&T.

Yes - definitely upgrading. Had the 3GS for 3 years and have been very happy with it but it's time for something new....

I suppose the results would be better, and I should have included those responses. But I guess I am more interested in what phone people who plan on upgrading currently have.

I obviously cant edit the poll so I apologize, but I said if you werent upgrading, then just feel free to post about why you aren't.

Like mentioned. I'll wait till I see it. My employer buys my phones and pays the bills but if it's not anything that I can justify truly benefiting my work productivity I'm not going to abuse the privilege of not paying for it.

No upgrade here on a newly off contract iPhone 4

Switched to straight talk's $45 plan and will likely be enjoying the cost savings more than any new features.

The poll asks if we are upgrading, then does not provide an option for those who will not be upgrading.

By the title "Are you upgrading", I sort of meant "Come on in and answer a few questions for me, if you're upgrading" not "Are you upgrading, yes/no"...I suppose I should have offered a "not upgrading" option, but I guess if you're not upgrading, then I don't need your results in my poll, because, like I said...I want to see what CURRENT PHONE people have THAT ARE UPGRADING. Not trying to find out how many people are upgrading. Understand?

Lord have mercy.

Update: I edited the original post, so it makes more sense to all of you that are complaining about there not being a "I'm not upgrading" option. I apologize, I know that since I didn't have that option, that this scientific research and consensus that I'm conducting is now void. ;)

I've always had a dumbphone and am looking forward to the new iPhone as it will be my first smartphone, so "yes," I'm most definitely "upgrading!"

I feel ya. I had a Env3 dumbphone before my 4S. It's a whole different world. The 5 will be a super first smart phone for you.

So long as you understand this. ;)

I wasn't trying to complain. I just misunderstood the initial post. I understand what you were after now. The more I thought about it, I'm curious of those who DON'T upgrade what phone they currently have.

Haha, make a poll ;)

I didn't mean to sound angry or anything, I'm not, and I understand why people misunderstood the point of my poll. Should have clarified it better from the get-go.

Interesting, the number of people who are upgrading that have the 4S and the 4 are staying consistently equal...

I actually switched from a 4S to a SGS3 a few weeks ago but definitely looking forward to the 5 and will be pre-ordering.

Currently have a 4S. I'm waiting to see the finished product along with the spec sheet. I had iOS6 beta 1 on my 4S and liked it pretty well although some of the new enhancements didn't work well because it was the first beta.

I gotta have Apple's latest and greatest. There I admitted it. :p

Wife is happy with her 4 still so I will use her upgrade then sell my 4S.

If the screen is just gonna be taller but not wider then no.

I agree.

If they are only stretching the phone so as to keep the same width, that's not an upgrade, that's an oddball phone.

No way would I buy such nonsense.

Apple is in decline.

Completely consumed with attacking Google, they're generating too much negativity. The playground bully, they've reduced themselves to fighting.

No longer a class act, they are an embarrassment.

I'm really on the fence (I have a used 4 I bought last year). On one hand I really hate these stretched iPhone 4 leaks we've been seeing and consider it a pathetic foot in the door of "4 inch screens". On the other hand it's still an iPhone and it's about the best overall experience a smartphone can give you.

..but I'm sick to death of this small screen and making it (only) taller is a joke as far as I'm concerned.

I'll have to say I'm waiting to see tha actual phone Apple releases and maybe what the next Nexus looks like.

Just wanted to get a general consensus. Are you upgrading to the 5 this fall? If you are please click what ever applies to you (which phone you currently have).

Feel free to not only partake in the poll but also elaborate if you'd like to, on why you're upgrading.

ALSO, if you're not upgrading (I'm sorry there is no "not upgrading" poll option), please explain why.

Me personally? I have the 4S, just got it back in December, so I will NOT be upgrading this fall. I am on contract til Dec of 2013, which will be just in time to get a 6 without having to wait. :)

And honestly, even if I wasn't on contract, I'd still keep my 4S for two years. I love this phone, it's incredibly fast, and ever since I jailbroke it, I've been using it more than ever. Will I be jealous seeing all the new 5's around? Sure. But it's also kind of cool having an older generation, imo.

I have a 4S. I will be switching to Verizon and upgrading. Ever since getting LTE on iPad, I've been anxiously waiting to get it on the phone.

I will really have to wait and see what Apple releases. This is really the first time, since the inception of the iPhone that I haven't been virtually sure I would be doing a yearly upgrade.

I have a Galaxy Nexus, and unlimited data. If I want to get the 5 I would need to buy it off contract to keep unlimited. I want to, but it's a lot of money :/ What should I do?

I have the 4 and was certain I'd upgrade to the 5 but now I'm waiting to see what Apple comes up with. Other manufacturers are coming up with some impressive stuff these days....

I have the iPhone 4 (Verizon) and can't wait to upgrade! I wasn't eligible for the iPhone 4s, so I've been waiting patiently for the new iPhone.
