Had to vote "No sticker at all anywhere". But if the sticker is removable I don't really care...

I strongly doubt that the word Intel will appear anywhere beside in the spec listings for the machine and 'About This Mac'![]()

Le Big Mac said:They can be pushier with the commodity computer makers. Apple's different, though, and I suspect there won't be a sticker for the reasons everyone suggests. Probably on the box there will be a logo or something.
Also, Intel can advertise specfically about Apple itself. That's a bit harder when there are dozens of PC makers out there.
Maybe, though, Apple will include an intel sticker with the Apple stickers that come in the welcome package. Then I can stick the the intel inside on my car, and thereby add a few horsepower.

You mean like this...pimentoLoaf said:I doubt Apple will allow the sticker on the machine, the way Toshiba does. My tosh2430-s256 (I use it for games and... AppleWorks 5) has several stickers -- Intel, WinXP, and Harmon-Kardon, and one other I peeled off that I don't remember.
Quite so...Nermal said:Some beige models had 'PowerPC' printed on the front of them![]()

Like the "Windows XP" sticker in the upper left corner of the photo? I think that's not coming off without a fight!efoto said:That is a horrid thing...ewwy. I don't want those on PBs of the future...no good at all. Those look like the kind that can at least come off somewhat easily. The one I am worried about is the Intel stickers that are metallic in nature and quite well adhered. As long as those stay away, I won't be too upset.
Yeah, actually, I am very particular about keeping all my computers and peripherals clean and dust free. I'm borderline obsessive compulsive about that. Right now, I'm actually using a PowerBook Pismo from 2000 that looks absolutely brand new and runs perfectly. Been running Panther for over a year on it and never a single problem.rainman::|:| said:sacear, get a bottle of Goo-Gone, a washcloth, and FIX THAT POOR POWERMAC. It always makes me so sad to see even a beige Mac covered in stickers, I used to remove them at my school (both the old, peeled-off ones, and the bar codes they really used for identification) with goo gone, it's great![]()
Along the lines that you're thinking..., IF Apple does use an identifier logo for the new Intel processors, then I think Apple will use the name of the processor itself (maybe making up an entirely new "Apple use only" logo) and not the "Intel" name and logo. And IF Apple does use a "processor identifying logo," then that will likely be embossed or screen-printed on to the computer as the "PowerPC" logo once was. That is my guess. I just can't see Apple using stickers on their computers and I certainly hope they don't. I hope they don't use any "processor logo" at all and just let the new Mac model speak for itself.rainman::|:| said:as for the intel logo... i would imagine if it went on an actual Mac, Apple would print the logo the same way they do the Apple logo, or the machine's name, so it would not be removable. This is why I doubt it'll be visible. Probably, it will be on the serial # identification sticker, which is always well hidden anyway. And on the box. I voted "box only" because I really don't like the idea of it tarnishing the Mac... but i'm not going to flip out if it's on the ID label.
