I voted not at all, but I would not be surprised if they put something on the box to designate that it was an Intel-based Mac. Quite honestly, after hearing the news about the switch to Intel, this was the first thing that I thought of. :p

Like the "Windows XP" sticker in the upper left corner of the photo? I think that's not coming off without a fight!

Exactly like that one. Those are the little bastages that cause many problems, especially when on the wrist-rest of a PowerBook *cry*

I don't see how anyone could really object to a sticker on the outer packaging... how often are you really going to look at that box, even for those of you who hang on to it at all?

While I'd rather have nothing or just on the box, I'd accept one of those plastic peel-off immediately stickers that are usually stuck on PDA/Phone screens to advertise functions. It works in the store to highlight what it is but is removed easily as soon as it gets home!
I agree, I love static clings. Hee. I tend to peel them off and put them on random surfaces. :D

There should be a HUGE blue intel logo deeply engraved on both sides of x86 PowerMacs.

Actually, I voted #3 (IIRC). I don't mind a sticker on the box, if Intel insist.

as long as they don't replace the apple stickers, everything is OK.
That is a horrible thought. What if they would stop including the two Apple stickers and replace them with two Intel Inside stickers?

I'm one of the few that voted option #5...It really doesn't matter that much to me, to be honest, whether or not there's an Intel Inside sticker or where it is placed.

If Apple decides to put them on, I'll support that, because it'll cross-promote Apple and Intel. If they leave it off, I'll support that, too - since, in that case, I would guess that Apple didn't want to mess with the image their Macs have in the marketplace.

A sticker woulden't hurt anything. I would think that it would need to be different from the ones on PCs...

'Intel Inside' is used on PC's to differentiate between those PC's with an Intel chip versus other chips. Here the public gets to choose as there may be a perceived quality difference that the consumer wants. Intel is a brand much like Sony, Pioneer and Panasonic are for TV's for example, so people may have a preference.

With a Mac there will be no choice. There will be no other chips so there should be no need for any sticker on a MAC machine or packaging - just the chip specs as is the case on packaging now.

Maybe we'll get "Power Mac I's", "PowerBook I's", or maybe a nice "iMac I" or "iBook I"...

I think they should make this as pain free as possible and leave the sticker on the paper (If there is indeed a sticker) and allow the user the option of the sticker... (although I and many others according to the polls, see putting an Intel sticker a sin above all others!)...

Ya' know recently on Apple's Power Mac G5 page they had two pictures one of a PMG5(internal) and another of an average PC(internal), and the point of the two together was Mac's are nicer kept, Apple doesn't make "sloppy" machines... If you ask me too many sticker's and logo's are sloppy-KEEP IT SIMPLE:KEEP IT SINGULAR:KEEP IT APPLE
