What case are you using? Is there a version for the Plus out by some chance?

Good choice on Skinomi by the way.

This is pretty funny, actually. I'm a girl and I happen to have a Meijer store that ALWAYS discounts their cases to ridiculously low prices after a couple months. I'm talking $30-40 cases for less than $5.

Probably six months ago they put these cases on sale for $3.99 each: http://www.jessicaswift.com/shop/phone-cases/anka-violet-iphone-case

I picked up 4 of them. That's the exact one that saved my iPhone 5S from certain destruction.

Basically, I recommend a case with two layers of protection, as this one has. It has the bumper and a hard shell casing. The bumper keeps the phone screen from dropping flat and harming the screen. The casing protects the back.

BTW, the case didn't bend AT ALL. It was crazy. Still a great case.

Not sure if they're coming out with similar ones for the 6, so I ended up ordering one of these cases that looks protective: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JH83MZ6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And the screen protector:

For less than $26 combined, you can't go wrong.

Yeah, in my case it is an InvisibleShield HDX.

Great screen protector. Had one of the clear ones on my iPhone 5. Kept that phone for 1.5 years with the screen protector on. Gave it to my mom. Just recently had to replace the screen protector for her, but it lasted 2 years which is excellent, imo.

Skinomi IS cheaper, but sometimes does not last as long. Also depends on the install job you do. The better that is, the longer it lasts.

What's a good brand for glass protectors? And does anyone know of any that are currently in stock that I could possibly have delivered by Friday?

Spigen has always been a leader for tempered glass screen protectors

Buy on amazon btw cheaper

My opinion - you're asking for trouble by NOT using a screen protector.

It just takes one drop--even with a good case--for the screen to scratch, crack, or shatter.

Use something like Skinomi or InvisibleShield, and your phone's screen will not scratch, crack, or shatter. When you go to resell the phone, it'll be in great shape.

Just to show you how much of a life saver screen protectors/cases are, check out my attached picture. My iPhone 5S was BENT by accidentally slamming it in a car door not once, but twice (I stupidly thought my seat belt was caught in the door, closed it again and discovered the iPhone). Without my case and Skinomi, the 5S would have broken. With the case and protector, the 5S survived with no scratches and the screen in tact. So much so that the Apple store gave me a new 5S because they just assumed the body warped over time.

A screen protector wont keep your glass from cracking/shattering, only a case can help with that. Its the case that absorbs the impact, not the plastic sheet, that prevents screen from shattering.

Actually some protectors can. Mine certainly did. Not only did I not have a case on at the time, but when I picked my phone back up I saw that the protector had wrinkled up from the energy it absorbed.

Of course good quality screen protectors are more than just a simple "plastic sheet". They're several layers of material laminated together.

Yes, but imagine you drop the phone on rocks. At least some of the rocks WILL make contact with the screen, even if you have the best case on it imaginable. At best you've got scratches. At worst, you've got a nice little crack.

In my case, the screen protector helped to keep the glass from cracking WITH the impact of the car door bending the phone.
