No, the new update, especially now that push isnt included, will not give me anything valuable that jailbreaking doesnt. Is it giving me video recording? Youtube downloading? A 5 Icon Dock? Custom images for whatever I want? didnt think so....I dont rely on Apple anymore, the iPhone is a great piece of technology and I love it but jailbreaking makes the iPhone a million times better

I'll probably be downloading it straight away. Non of us need our phones unlocking anyway, so may aswell check out the new firmware. And when I'm bored of the bug fixes, then the PwnageTool will probably be updated! :)

I dont rely on Apple anymore...

Your using their bloody software! Haha.

I chose wait a few days, but too be honest I'll probably only wait a few hours to hear about early reports. Hell, what am I talking about, I probably won't be able to resist :p

You forgot "No my phone works fine with 1.1.4 and i can live without apps" Which is what i'll do unless i hear good reports across the board about 2.1. I'm more than willing to sacrifice apps for a stable phone

You really don't have any idea what you're missing. Just give in, and do the upgrade already. It does not make your phone less stable during regular use. The only time people typically have issues is when installing apps and etc.... otherwise it's not too bad. Trust me.

I have 10 or so apps installed and my 2.0.2 iPhone is stable as can be and works great.

Well, except for the battery life being awful, but it is an iPhone and I expected that.

I'll be waiting a day and a half or so, since I'll be making a long drive Saturday and I don't want to take any chances on something happening to the phone and it not working for the drive back home on Saturday.

Plus, it'll let me see what happens with everybody else who upgrades initially to see whether it causes any problems serious enough to hold off further.

FWIW i did upgrade to 2.0.2 when it came out but it was too buggy and thats why i downgraded. I'll probably update tomorrow seeing as Touch users are giving positive reviews of the 2.1 firmware. I will miss 1.1.4 though.

The two things that excite me about the update are; improved battery life, and better 3G reception. If the update is available early Friday morning I will update then, if not...right after work!

That says it for me. Also less laggy.
