iPhone X, iPhone 8/8+, sticking to what I’ve got, or switching to Android?

Well as of right now more people are either getting the 8/8 Plus or keeping their current phone vs getting the X.

I just sorta wish that they used the + form factor for the X. I know the screen is technically bigger, but its not a wide. I'm also very used to the size of the phone in my hand..... so undecided

Staying with my S7 Edge for now. Here in Canada with tax, AppleCare and the fast charging cable, I'm looking at over $2000 for the 256GB model. TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! That is absolutely nuts...And I'm not.
I’m staying with my iPhone 7 Plus, it’s way too much money now to upgrade yearly. $1100 to $1300 is my max and I feel that’s even too much for phones lacking innovation.

Its growing on me, the more I see reviews

And this is kind of what I forsee in the next six weeks or less. Is the iPhone X will continually be discussed and talked about, and it will likely persuade those who were uncertain if you they were considering to upgrade or not based on reviews and breakdowns of the iPhone. So it should be interesting to see how this all Comes together in the next month when pre-orders arrive on October 27.

Sticking with my iPhone 7 till new se or next iPhone 9 , Xs whatever it's called .. but I will keep a eye on android the v30 is interesting also want to see what pixel 2 is about. But definitely not feeling the iPhone X .. lack of touch ID,price and tbh it didn't wow me like I thought it would.
At this time of technolgy age, who can survived with 64Gb memory, apple purposely ditched the 128gb, bcs majority will hv no choice to go for the 256. Videos, photos, music, apps, etc will not be sufficient on a 64gb. The psin is that the 256 cost almost $1250, ouchh! Apple did this on purpose, to take more money from loyal folks. I also dislike the black notch encroaching down the top screen, made it look like a cheap chinese phone. It should have been just a small bezel on the top to insert the cams n sensors. And the time then could be in the center as well the batt indicator on the right and signal bar in the left. I do think the Oled screen is looking great.

Sticking with with the 7+ 128GB. The X to me doesn't look good with the camera getting in the middle of the screen, I watch YouTube and twitch and the experience will suck on that model, next year I'm hoping for a better product. 1st gen face id doesn't look appealing to me.

I bought an 8. I'm using a 6 right now that's been getting a little long in the tooth, and figured there was finally enough new stuff to justify an upgrade (say what you will about wireless charging, but it's a feature I used to use a lot on my Android phones and I always said I'd buy a new phone when Apple added support for it). The X doesn't interest me for some reason; I guess I just don't see a huge benefit to it over the 8. Screen size seems like the biggest thing, but having my iPad close at hand most of the time means I rarely find myself wanting for a larger screen.

I totally agree. Apple did this on purpose, they are just about making people go for the 256, which literally cost about $1250 with tax, smart marketing move from Apple but very terrible toward their customers. To be fair they should have done 128 considering 1k is already a lot for a phone.

Haven’t decided which storage I will go with yet. Coming from a 7+ 128, I have only used about 50 GB, I may just opt for the 64 GB x to go against Apple’s gimmick but also to save a little cash.

I think the x will be tough to come across on pre orders.

Only one I was ever going to get was the X, but there are concerns, so I'll be watching every unboxing/review video over the next couple of months to get an idea of how significant my worries are....

If the X offered the 512 gig capacity like the rumors claimed I would have went for the X, but since the 8 + is almost the same as the X, I prefer my + screen. Hopefully next year the rumored X+ with a 6.5 inch screen I'll be all over it.

Undecided, I currently see little value in the X and IMO the 8 is just a 3 year old phone and no better then my 6S.
Also looking at the Note 8 because that will drop in price. I've tried the Note 8, need to try the iPhone X.
Also really annoyed with Apple price gouging by charging extra for a fast charger and ditching the 128GB option.

If I had a 6s or newer, I would wait until next year, but I'm on a 6 Plus and I don't think I want to wait another year (I already broke my two yearly schedule last year). Next year's rumoured 6.4-inch option and ProMotion is what I want, but knowing me I'll probably get the X now and face that dilemma when it happens. After all, there's always something better around the corner.

I'm probably sticking put with what I have. While my SE needs to have its home button looked at, I'm happy with the form factor, and I'm not sure I want to spend a 1,000 for a gen 1 phone that may be more frustrating to use then I'd want. The 8 looks ok, but not much wow factor for me.

Many more people than I expected choosing the 8/8+.... interesting.

Not surprised once I viewed the Keynote.
The "X" doesn't really have anything earthshaking that screams out "Special!!!!". A new GUI theme I think is a big miss. FaceID and the "Turd" :))) feel gimmicky....

when I ordered my 7+ last year, I told myself I wouldn't upgrade for a few as long as the phone didn't break.

while watching the reveal stream, I was most excited about iOS 11. And told myself I wouldn't upgrade.

last night I went to bed telling myself I wouldn't upgrade.

I woke up this at my usual time. After a constitutional, I upgraded to an 8+

I'm such a weak weak man:D

I am still undecided. I have told myself for a while that I would only upgrade to an OLED iPhone. But the $1150 + tax for the 256GB version is quite steep I feel like. I am currently using an iPhone 6 128GB. So right now I am going back and forth whether I will get the iPhone X or wait another year.
