Who gives a crap about the next iPhone. I'm more interested in speculation about the next next next iPhone. The next iPhone is old news.

Does anyone have any rumors or polls regarding the next next next iPhone?

iPhone 5 for sure. The 3GS was only to sync the numbers with the release cycle.

I agree. It wouldn't make sense to name it the 4GS because then they'd have to jump to the iPhone 6 and skip the iPhone 5 name. And the "S" was for "speed". The 3GS was a minor, boring update to the iPhone 3G. Moreover, the the second iPad is called the iPad 2. It just makes sense to name the devices in numerical order at this point. I guess we'll see when this thread is bumped come this fall.

In my opinion ... who cares what it's called?
It's going to be the fifth generation iPhone regardless and will succeed the iPhone 4.

I think it's going to be iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4 was a huge leap in both design and hardware. I really don't see that happening again this year.

One thing I would bet my money on is that we will not see a design change. Did you see Steves face when he unveiled iPhone 4? He is in love with it. It will obviously change but not this year! Maybe a bit smaller/larger but that's it.

I don't understand why in the world they would call the fifth generation iPhone an iPhone 4S. What are they going to call the sixth generation iPhone? iPhone 5?

My thinking is they could call it the iPhone 4S if it's just a refresh and the iPhone 5 if it's really something to brag about.

If they just add a new chip and upgrade the camera, that's hardly worthy of a whole number jump to 5.
