4" is no longer big enough, and certainly not this lame stretched 4" we see in the 'leaked' designs that will add nothing useful to the user experience.
I'd like to see a screen a little bit bigger. But only so much that I can still operate the phone one handed. I tried a Galaxy S3 recently at a store, and the phone is just too big for my hands.
But if the increase in size is coming as a different screen ratio as is now, I would rather stay with the current size.
The 4" screen on the new iPhone is a negative for sure. The question is, does having more reliable data connection make it worth having a larger phone and a new connector?
1st Gen iPhone: Original iPhone
2nd Gen iPhone: iPhone 3G
3rd Gen iPhone: iPhone 3GS
4th Gen iPhone: iPhone 4
5th Gen iPhone: iPhone 4S
6th Gen iPhone: Upcoming iPhone
I'm thinking about it more, and I think it will be worth it to put up with yet another new stupid non-standard connector, and a far less desirable form factor than the perfect 3.5" size of the 4S in order to get 4G LTE from AT&T, so that I can go into cities and such, and still have functional data connectivity.
I wasn't aware people considered the "s" models as an entire generation, especially with the minuscule changes from the 3G to 3GS. I'm assuming even you can follow along with that explanation.
Based on your logic, then we are on third generation right now, an the next iPhone, assuming there's a big enough change in YOUR eyes, should be called 4th gen iPhone?
