I'm rather partial to all the G3 and G4 towers(a look around my collection might give some indication of that
)
I have to agree with the above comments, though, about the late beige towers.
The 8600 and 9600 used the same case, albeit with a different logic board. The G3s used a shorter version of the same design. This case is a masterpiece of engineering and incredibly easy to work on(unless you need to route cables
). The desktop versions of these computers share many of the same properties, although I find them more fragile and they also lack the real estate present in the towers.
Of course, for serviceability it's hard to beat the "oven door" G3s and G4s.
In general, though, I just like Macs
-especially PowerPC ones.
