Poll: What's your style of texting?

I usually cradle with both hands and type in portrait. Looks like I'm sort of holding it the same way as a gameboy

Just got used to this way since my first iPhone. Even with other touchscreen phones like my friends droid and incredible I really can't type in landscape not sure why.

Depends, most of the time two thumbs but I have been known to hold it with one hand and text with that hand's thumb.

It is strange though because on my blackberry I type perfectly fine with two thumbs.... I think it has something to do with me and touch screen typing. Did the same on a Nexus One.

Exactly the same here.
When I type with thumbs, they need to rest on the keyboard - can't do that with a touchscreen.

Cradle in one hand and text with one finger (using the other hand) is the girly way to do it.

I hold the phone in my right hand, using my 3 fingers. hold it in place with my pinky, and type with my thumb. with my left hand i use my thumb to type and rest my index finger on the top left of the phone with the rest of my fingers behind the fingers on my right hand

Pretty much the same here but I use the SwiftKey keyboard, much faster

Usually, I cradle the phone in both hands and type with both thumbs. When I'm laying down, however, I cradle the phone in my left hand, with my right thumb on the bottom, middle finger on the right side, and I type with my left thumb and right pointer.

That is oddly specific

I hold the phone (an antique Nokia, not a smart phone, let alone an iPhone) in one hand, and text with fingers of the other hand. Option three on the poll, in other words.

I normally 2-thumb text, but, whenever a flat surface is available, I'll place the phone down and 2-finger type. I've been a 2-finger keyboard typist for decades and I quickly learned to do it on a smartphone screen. I currently use an iPhone SE! My friends shake their heads in wonder!
