Now that we've settled into how we use our Apple Watches (I mean, c'mon, we're nearing the three-year mark since its original release), I've started thinking of how I changed where I keep the charging puck for my AW.

I used to keep it near my bed, just like my iPhone's charger. But over time (and especially after we moved from our studio into a one-bedroom apartment), and because I started wearing my AW into bed to serve as my morning alarm, I moved the charger into the living room where I could conveniently charge it while we sat down to watch TV. These days, it's on the arm of our couch, where I don't really need to use the watch and can let it charge.

What about the rest of you?

An Apple Watch charger is part of my iHome Alarm Clock. Therefore, my bedroom.

Used to be in bedroom nightstand but now on the lamp table next to the couch in living room. Can’t wait for the airpad or powerpad to release so I can put it out in both locations.

I actually have an Apple Watch spare plastic box from the stainless model That I converted into a custom watch charging dock for my Watch. The watch fits in that indentation groove in the plastic box to prevent it from sliding around and charges in my office area with all my other electronic gadgets.

I have it laying on my nightstand; I stick it on the watch and plop the watch on its side at night so that it can be my alarm clock. It's been working well like this for several years now, and I quite enjoy it!

Still wearing my launch day 38MM S0 sport :)

I have a charging dock by my bed. Now I have my new watch, I wear my old on e overnight but it's still convenient to have the charge on my bedside table as I'll see it when I'm getting ready in the morning.

Plugged into my Anker LED lamp next to my bed! Plop it on the charger when I wake up and take a shower, return to a 100% charged watch!

I have an SS S0 with poor battery life so I keep a charge cable in my office at work and recharge halfway through the day. I also charge overnight in my bedroom.

FWIW, I also got a second charging puck when Apple replaced my S0 with a fresh new S2. I haven't even unwrapped it yet, though; it's still in the box that the S2 came in. My couch remains my only charging location.

One accessory I'd like to get sometime would be a travel-style charging case. There's a few out there, about the size of two stacked hockey pucks, which enclose the AW and use a battery pack integrated with a charging disk. The idea is that you can put the AW inside, zip the case shut, then let it top off while you store the gadget inside your purse or carry-on bag while traveling. The ONLY time when I've gotten nervous about losing battery charge on my AW was on an overnight bus trip when I wasn't scheduled to settle into a hotel room until the following evening. Something like this would've been nice to have.

I really hate the charger. It's so cumbersome. Are there other options? Or ways to make it simpler?

bedside with my wireless charger stand and cable for my ipad

really looking forward to using the air power

The option I'd still want to get is Apple's own UFO-shaped charging stand. Flip up the puck to sit vertical for continuous straps like the Link bracelet or Sport Loop, or fold it flat for the Classic leather strap or Sport band.

The bare puck sometimes wants to flip upside-down because the cable might naturally want to twist it over.

I have my puck charger mounted in a Twelve South stand (forget which one) in my office at home. The stand looks quite nice and is on my valet where I put my wallet, car fob, phone, etc.

I sleep with my watch on. I charge it by with my MacBook Air in the living room.

Apple Watch series 3 battery lasts so long that I can recharge it every two days. Since I live alone in a shared house, I can only put the charger in my own room.

I keep mine in the bathroom and charge it when I'm in the shower and getting ready. I also use the larger charging brick so it gets a pretty quick charge. I'll also give it a quick charge while I'm washing my face and getting ready for bed, etc. Haven't had any issues with it running out of juice and I use it almost daily (5x week) for tracking workouts.
