I thought it was a random occurrence, but now I know I'm not alone.

If it matters, I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 with a Flashblock add-on.

This morning too, I got the ad in the OP.

It seems like it only comes in the mornings (EST)? I've never seen it in the afternoon/evening time.

Nope. I only had 2 MacRumors tabs open in one window. No other windows were open.

I clicked "cancel" and it went away.

Sounds like Adware ads, traffivance etc..

I too have had the "pop-out" ad for parallels. (Just 2 minutes ago).
I'm running Safari in Lion FWIW.

I knew right away this wasn't something done intentionally, MR is just too classy for something like this.

the parallels ad is from our ad network. so no spyware or anything. we'll get it removed.

I've got this one so many times!
I did a search on my Mac for a file that said "mackeeper" and it found some sort of file. I deleted it and it appears to be gone. Not sure if that was important or not though
