30 year old non-gamer, for the most part, for what it adds… is one of maybe two games that I can play for more than 10 minutes. And by more than ten I mean an hour or more. (Extreme Road Trip 2 is the other.)

I think the issue isn't the classic games, it's the fact that the games they are bringing are far from "classics" and most that people already paid for and do not see the need for a subscription for said game.

I will say that we are paying for the continued support of these apps, plus the ability to enjoy them free of ads and / or IAPs. That’s the value of the service - paying Apple to surface good games that would otherwise have been buried beneath a mountain of similar apps.

I really loved this game and bought it when it came out, but a year or so after it launched, the devs pumped it to the brim with IAPs and terrible advertising. Really glad to see it coming out without that.

But ofc it is. Yawn. Call me when Apple has quality games worth playing on AA

And people wonder why everyone says Apple doesn't get gaming. Laughable

Gameclub have been reviving old classics for years on iOS. Looks like Apple just copied them.

the difference is, if you already owned the game back in the day, gameclub make the updated version available to you for free. I’m loving being able to play Pix’n’Love Rush again. Shame Apple aren’t doing this.

But ofc Apple did. That's all they do. Wait for someone else to come out with an amazing feature, steal it and then claim they "invented it" much like what they did with multi-touch

This is so sad. Apple Arcade is now the place to go for ten year old free games?

need new AAA titles or titles I haven’t already played to justify the monthly free.
That is like saying paying for Apple Music subscription isn't worth it because of all those old songs they have on there. It'll only be worth it if they add new songs. Just because it is old doesn't make it bad, a good game lives on past its best buy date and in cases like myself introduces it to a whole new audience that didn't even know it existed. It is $5 a month and if it turns out you don't use the app enough then yeah it isn't worth it, but $5 a month for me is a complete bargain.

The only thing sad is you thinking that Apple Arcade should be built for you.

But what does an old, free game need to be on Apple Arcade for? Can't you just go to the app store and download it for free?

Sure, though these days I'm unsure if what you mean by free is really free. As I said though I would never have known this game existed, therefore, would never have searched for it, it is just the thought that a $5 a month subscription fee isn't worth it may be true for some but not true for others that was my only point.
