Recently my m1 MBP slipped off our coffee table and landed on our area rug. Everything seemed fine, but today I was exporting 7.5 gigs from Lightroom and the MacBook is hot and the fans aren't coming on. Thoughts about possible damage?
Well you could stress test your CPU by running Cinebench continuously. The fans should eventually come on. Check you do not have low power mode enabled.
On my 14" MBP it takes about 20 minutes of running Cinebench for the fans to come on, and they are very hard to hear - need to listen very closely near the hinge area in a very quiet room.
