How about a quick way to turn on/off wifi and 3G.... I think that is the most annoying and ridiculous amount of taps to get there... can anyone say hold down the sleep/wake button and it brings up those options?
Agreed. Those should be easy, one tap options, available as soon as you open up Settings:
3G, Wi-Fi, Location Settings, and maybe a few others.

I think it would be easier to be able to put the options onto the homescreen. Tap the icon to turn on 3G, WiFi, etc. and then tap again to turn off (with a confirmation pop-up, of course).

Indeed, the original UI was fine for the original phone -- a device with just a few included applications, and relatively few options to set.

Now there are many more applications, and some original design decisions are now poor fits... such as trying to put all app settings in one long settings section that you can only get to by exiting the app itself.

Another is leaving out a way to quickly scroll to the bottom of a page, or anywhere in a long document for that matter. I would almost take that ability before c&p :)

They seriously need to add something like this; I notice all the times when I am scrolling through an iTunes playlist. I like to make long playlists for work and continue them each day. Once I stop the songs playing and then want to start up from where I left off, I have scroll all the way down by flicking. I wish there was a sidebar to move to the desired location.

it'd be cool if they gave an option to swipe up and down and have different pages that way... however that may not 'go' with the indicator bubbles on the bottom... and i doubt apple would do this haha...

looks like besides for FREE APPS - jailbreaking is losing some features  - good thing i finally jailbroke just to have this come out soon :(
