Who is to say the green light is for iChat?? Could be anything. Unread text message, even a light showing you its recording? Doesn't seem farfetched for this one to be real.

I would much rather have a notification light instead of a front facing camera, but we all know what this fake was trying to push.

True, but for basically any other Apple product, the green light has always been for the iSight, nothing else.

I do want the new iPhone to looks something like this "leak". I hated the chrome bezel on my 1st Gen, its scratched to hell now lol.

A big red flag for me is the copy: "Internet Tethering on your new iPhone OS 3.0." I really don't think that Apple would combine the name of the hardware with the software like that. If it said, "...on your new iPhone running OS 3.0" or something like that it would be one thing. Apple takes their copy pretty seriously and I can't ever recall them naming a piece of hardware after the software it runs.

The picture could also be showing the Canadian site and they do have two carriers.
I still think it's fake, because Apple would not use a feature, which is also available on older iPhones as a promo picture.
And why would they show a WiFi and not a 3G symbol?
The original iPhone was introduced at 9:42.
The time this picture shows however, could be the time Apple announces the new iPhone.
The Keynote will be given at 10:00, so it could be accurate.

Very poorly worded. Obvious fake. Get someone with a college education to write the fake promos, please.

I wish I could make out what the footnote numbers after "three times fast" and "MMS" were referring to...

Yeah, seriously. People think that the blurrier the picture is, the more credible it is. You can take a screen shot of it and post it up instead of taking a picture with a camera of the screen. It's fake or real if it's fake or real, not if it's blurry or clear.

okay okay okay.
problems with this pic:
1. "light-years" should be just "light years."
2. pre 2.1 3g symbol.
3. apple refers to copy and paste as "cut, copy and paste" in all of their press related to that feature.
4. apple doesn't randomly capitalize words in their sentences that shouldn't be capitalized.
5. italics look awkward and abused in lines 2 and 3 of the second paragraph.
6. spacing between the lines are not equated.
7. the kerning between the letters in the first line is a bit too stretched than apple's usual myriad pro semibold copy headers.

i can't believe people actual spend what could be HOURS making a fake job like this - all just to stir up a rumor mill. ugh.

To clarify that it's not real, you could go to Google and and do a quote search by typing in "Internet Tethering on your new iPhone OS 3.0" or whatever should be on that Apple page. Guess what?, It doesn't work. You know why? Because that page doesn't exist. But if you type in something that you know, for sure, is on the Apple page, you could try "Telling your dad how you feel just got" and then it will find it for you.

Google knows all.

This honestly has to be the worst thing I've ever seen.

I'm horrible at Photoshop and i think I could make something better than this in around 10 minutes.

People that are trying to rationalize it's real: I know you are antsy for iPhone rumors, but really?

OMG, your post isn't real !!!

To clarify it's not real you could look at the copy, which is clearly written by either a child or someone with only perfunctory knowledge of the English language.

The best part is:

"introduce hundreds of new features such as: copy & paste":eek::eek::eek::eek: NEW FEATURE?

How do you see 11 or 14? It looks like the 10th to me because of the curves at the top and bottom. Plus the 10th is a Friday

i believe it is the 16th which falls on a Tuesday.

Also why are there so many pages? I usually only see 2 of them.
