Ordered my Macbook Pro yesterday, seems to be takng longer than i thought, estimated date for shipping is 21-23rd (giving credit to the update on the 22nd???) delivery 30th+, would be great if i got the bump, if introduced on tuesday but i dont care if i dont, and kind of expect not, as there probably wouldn't be immediate shipping. The date on the site said 2-3 days etimated but in reality its 4-6, guessing this is normal but any thoughts??? Im in the UK so any nasty suprises and i'll just pay the £50 return fee (by the way, anyonw know if its still this expensive if you dont open the box :)

I have never paid anything to return a product even though it says so on the website. It has always been free, My wife's MBP I ordered on the 11th of December it turned up on 3rd of January. I ordered an imac 2.8GHZ yesterday, I expect it to arrive on the 5th of Feb.

To the original poster, no offence that will never happen, to much cost involved for apple. These days they like to milk all the fan boys, off which I used to be one.

I am trying to figure out why everyone thinks that they 8600m GT needs more RAM. My understanding was that given any possible configuration that the MacBook Pro can come in, it could not fill 512MB of VRAM fast enough to make a noticable difference, not even in gaming.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but the extra VRAM would primarily be useful in gaming, which is not Apple's selling point.
