iPad Pro Possible to pre-order for pickup at an Apple Store?

Guess that the information one gets depends on which rep you talk to. I just spoke with someone in Apple Sales, this time on the phone, and she said that it will only be available to order online this Wednesday. She said they don't have a release date when it will be available in the stores to buy. Sounds like another Apple TV launch to me :0

Oops, just checked Apple's Press Release. Guess there was some truth in what she said.

"Epic 12.9-inch iPad Pro Available to Order Online Wednesday & Arrives in Stores Later This Week"

Wait, It sounded like they won't be in store on Wednesday per articles published today. Just order only with Store availability later during the week.
 
Anything a online/phone chat rep says isn't reliable when it comes to product release details. These guys are about as much in the loop on stuff as the retail workers are.

I imagine you can order it online and choose in-store pick-up, but the reason is (or Apple kind of explained to me) Apple has in-store iPads... (actually in the store for folks that just walk in,) and iPads for online orders, and then iPad's for exchanges and so on. So I think it isn't as much a big mistake on Apple's part but more like they need to ensure anyone who wants an iPad that walks in store, can get one. So they have different ways of getting them in their store. It kind of is annoying, but still makes sense. I'll pre-order on Wednesday and if the ship time is appropriate I'll just wait for it at home, if the wait time is "meh" i'll try my luck in store on Friday.
