Look at the 3G symbol. It's the one they used before 2.1 .
And it still uses the 2.0 software
Fake.

Whatever. If a new iPhone is announced next week, I'm in.

I can see some benefits to the headphone jack at the bottom, although I enjoy listening to music and podcasts with my phone docked and charging. Perhaps this could be solved with a headphone jack on the dock (which I'm sure I'll be paying $59 for as it will be proprietary to the new phone)

Finally, a friends cousin, who's sister knows a cousin thats remotely related to the guy who sells pretzel in NY and happens to be a stepson of the mother than knows a parts supplier in Shang Hai gave us tip after getting in touch with his 102nd removed cousin who heard from his fisherman that heard it from a wrong number call from a guy in Cupertino.

Lol, that was funny. :D

Why?

Also, if it hasn't been pointed out already, the switch on the side near the bottom seems to change heights in the front and back view.

For me its seems much more logical when it think how i put the iPhone in my pocket (lock button down), so when i get it out it is just the right way.

i'm almost positive it will be like that. But who knows right?:)

Samesies. I put my iPhone in my pocket upside down too.

However I don't use the iPhone as an iPod... ever.

I see what you're saying.
But, if they need to have a speaker on one side and a microphone on the other side on the bottom of the iPhone, where does the jack go?

Who knows indeed...... I bet people at Apple do.....

Those pictures don't even have the iPhones running the right firmware. It's using old icons and the wrong 3G icon.

Gah. The admins on this site are failures right now.

Man, this guy comes off as very bitter...

Makes me bitter too  these are fake! Everyone is a failure!!!

To me ... this image is a lot more compelling than the others ... though the "Available today" makes me doubt it. I'd be very surprised to see it available the day it is announced (June 8). This could be an old screen image I've just never seen before from iTMS or Apple.com, or a modified old image.

Maybe Steve will walk out with one and shock everyone. :D

Yes! Just saw this on Gizmodo I believe.
Look's kind of legit, I think.

So much for the coolest feature - video conferencing. If these are real photos, the 3rd generation iPhone doesn't seem to support the big rumored video conferencing. Could have even just been via Internet or wireless (not on 3G network), and still been really cool.

about the extra button

I did request to Apple more than a year back to make an extra button on the iPhone that duplicates the functionality of the headphone button. That way you could answer the phone, hang up the phone, skip, pause, play songs conveniently without causing any backwards compatibility issues. Just a thought...

Fake according to the parts. There was a cutout at the top of the black metal rim, not inside the glass.

For real though... Why would you try and mock up an image with the old OS on it?

after reading half the posts in this thread I have really lost faith in the forum/thread system. Nobody here has read any other posts!

Some people still think these photos are legit....
