Possibly losing my job, should I cancel Iphone pre order?

I can't believe how hard it is to cancel my pre order. I have called 5 different times and after talking to the customer service guys they try and tell me they are not authorized to cancel the pre order. I even asked to speak to a supervisor twice, but they keep on "dropping" my call. I told them to call me back immediately if they hang up on me, but they never call back. Thiis is a bunch of crap, I know they are hanging up on my on purpose. Believe it or not, I never get dropped calls on my iPhone, so I know it's not me losing the connection.
Has anyone ever had this much trouble getting something done through AT&T? The only thing I can think of is putting a hold on my debit card, so they cannot charge me when it comes time to ship the phone. Any other ideas on what to do?
Oh, and they guy who said he has ordered 15 phones is full of it. There are too many restrictions put in place to prevent this type of activity. I don't understand why you would come to online forum just to lie about something as stupid as that. Either way, this thread has nothing to do with that. Nor did I ask anyone how many phones could you pre order. Please do not comment anymore here unless you have something to offer to help me in my situation.

All I was trying to do was tell you to keep your preorder and then sell it for a profit. Also I didnt order 15 phones all I meant was I called my local Apple store and they told me the limit is 5 per person. I said I would bring 3 people including myself and maybe purchase 15 phones.
Ask to be transferred to Online Sales Support (SSO). They should be able to cancel your order if CS can't even though they should be able to.
I would say. Sell it when you get it. You could make a large profit because of the fanboys that would pay more than full price to get their little grubby hands on Apple's latest toy. Look at what apple fanboys it internation countries dd to get an iPad.
Well.... with iPhone 1, it was huge price drop after the first few months if I remember correctly. With iPhone 3g I recall something about cracks appearing in the early models (I skipped the 3g). I got 3gs on launch day...don't think there were any problems with it, but it wasn't really a new design either.
He is right. It's usually better to wait a few months after a new design, but i'm impatient.... I will have my iP4 on the 24th

Screw it, I'm keeping the preorder. I have a 3GS that I could sell if things get rough. Would it be smarter to sell my 32gb 3GS now on eBay or wait till things calm down a little? It's a 3 months old refurb from apple. It shouldn't be too tough to sell. I hope.
EHhh, I would say that most people are purchasing this new iphone 4 on a wim, not because they can afford it, but because they want it so so bad, why because they are (Apples) not oranges and they (must have) the latest and greatest gadget, period, Now, for one to realize that he (mite) not be able to sacrifice food fore his child for a few months ie; the cost of a 4g is manning up. He should be commended fore such a mature thought and action. And you being drunk in honolulu, where I was born and raised my whole life, till I realized I was going know were, except to the beach, like Sandy Beach on the south east shore, where I ruled with the up most respect for years, makes me wonder, if your an import from the mainland just trying to fill an empty hole? a void you got by the way you were raised. Hawaii as a whole is a melting pot vast in asian cultures and warm with family love. So says the guy who is living beyond his means. You do realize that there are other phones and carriers out there... right? Soon you might be out of a job, you're paying premium for a top of the line phone, and you are also paying a lot of money for monthly service charges through AT&T. That is just silly. If you are unemployed, all you need is a simple phone that you can make and accept calls on. You should sell your 3G and then just get a cheap Go phone and use that until you get back to work. For a guy who "made" over 6 figures and hasn't managed to save much money, you are clearly living beyond your means. You are so used to throwing money at your problems that you haven't stopped to realize what would happen if you have no money. But, I suppose you're spoiled and even though you might go bankrupt soon if you don't find work, you sure aren't thinking smart. Let me remind you... you might be losing your job and you don't have enough savings built up. Now you're going to pay over $500 for a phone you don't need? And a monthly smart phone plan from AT&T? There is a word for that... it's called stupid.
