AirPlay is broken after 8.0.2 and I can't get hotspots to work. Old way works, but the new doesn't. My iPhone doesn't show up under wifi at all.

I have now carried out a clean install of iPad 2 to iOS 8.0.2 and whilst it's now undoubtedly smoother and it appears bug free, Safari is still much slower than it ever was with iOS 7.
Chrome is now a much faster browser of the two, so will be using that from now on - or at least until Apple can identify the issue with Safari.

Same experience here ( clean install ) and I mentioned 2-3 times since iOS 8 is available how important a clean install may be. I hope all people with issues did this clean install already before they report their issues.

Hotspot works for me after a clean install ( 8.0.0, 8.0.1 & 8.0.2 ). iPhone 5 & iPad 4.
Yeah - everything was set up correctly. However, this finally resolved itself a couple of days after I reset the Location Settings. As I went to power off the phone, the Weather app decided randomly to ask me to confirm letting it use Location Services in the background while I was not actively using it; after that it started showing up in Notification Center.

Hot spot shows up for me, but my rMBP hasn't been able to connect to it.
iCloud has doubled another calendar. Having to go through to check its just doubled and not a different one with spread across entry's.
Went through the business one and deleted one after makingr sure it had just cloned.
It's done the same cloning in reminders and added one with my iCloud email address as title
bit of a mess.

Opened camera from lock screen. Set to slow mo. Open camera app again 12hrs later its still set to slow mo. Not very good for grabbing a quick opportune photo and would drive granny crazy when she finds she's recording instead of taking a picture.
So why is the system not resetting? Its all over it. In every single aspect the system refuses to reset to useable (start) positions. If its deliberate its wrong as can be seen in the above camera example. 12 hrs later I want to take a picture and fast before I miss it.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but sometimes (rarely) when I am doing something in "Settings" the window suddenly closes and I'm back at the home screen. Next time I tried it's working fine. It happens randomly...
Using iPhone 5s, did clean install of 8.0, then OTA to 8.0.2. Same issue with both versions. No such problem while running 7.1.2.
Anyone else experiencing such behaviour?

8.0.2 still have problem in some games with BT MFi controllers (MOGA Rebel, Steelseries Stratus)
for A7 Ipad Air/Mini Retina, for A8 Iphone 6/6+ it's fixed though.

issue resolved by app update.
the one app which i found to produce this was updated and now it no longer happens.
still surprised that a closed (not properly coded for iOS8) app could leave the speaker disabled, but it's difficult for an operating system to protect itself from everything an app may do.
I've found a weird bug which only shows in iOS8 on the iPhone 5 (not the 5S) on the O2 network (UK).
In the Settings app, there is a toggle switch to turn 4G on and off even though the iPhone 5 (the iPhone 5S has 4G capabilities but the iPhone 5 has not) cannot physically connect to 4G on the O2 network here in the UK.

I just started reading this thread and noticed this myself. I even started a bug complaint ticket with Apple after I noticed that it was repeatable 100% of the time.
Personal hotspot can't connect between iPhone 6 an iPad air.
It sees that the iPhone is available as a hotspot but every time that I tap on it it doesn't connect.
Both have fresh install of 8.0.2. Extremely frustrating.

Anyone else tried searching in texts for people in long list of texts and get nothing or was that one fixed. Doesn't respond to 99% of names and I have to find manually
Wondering whether to bother with 8.0.2
