Weather Location Hijacked

Not seeing this on the 5S with 7.1.2 but have it on the 6 Plus 8.0.2:
When I turned on Location - Always to enable the weather in Notifications, instead of adding the location into my weather list of cities, it over-wrote my topmost listed location.
Was able to repeat this

Turned the Location - Always back off.
The 5S and now the 6 Plus insist I am in a different location than actual.

iOS 8.0.2

Iphone 4S, haven't tested on my 6 yet.

Asking Siri to set a location based reminder ex "remind me to pick up pens at work" turns off location services for reminders. Siri tells you to turn them on, if you turn them on and ask for the reminder again turns them back off again.

Don't know if this has been listed but in some apps I can't view videos in landscape mode, seems to be working ok in Safari and these are updated for iOS 8. Maybe just buggy updates.

I also am affected by the non rotating screen with many apps (including Safari) on iPhone 6, I hope Apple fixes it soon because it's bothering me.

Phone dialer not working within calls

I make a lot of conference calls where I have to call into an IVR and then enter numbers into the system. Ever since updating to iOS 8 (and the subsequent "fix"), when I enter anything into the system, it's not entering the correct numbers. I'm constantly having to call my landline first, conference the call in and press the keys from my landline in order to get anything done. I can't seem to find anyone else reporting this problem. It's driving me batty!! Any suggestions besides a full restore? I've tried a hard reset and it didn't help.

Post iOS 8 bugs here ( updated )

Safari is really buggy in iOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5s. I've seen the following problems frequently:

1. Safari completely locks up when back spacing in text field. Happens randomly, but frequently. At this point the only choice is to force kill Safari or wait for it to eventually crash. Seems more likely to occur when deleting numbers with periods after them.

2. Opening and closing notification center causes Safari to switch to and get stuck in landscape mode until I kill it. Even double pressing home opens the multitasking screen in landscape.

3. The blue line when typing appears below where it should when text wraps. This is reproducible.

Output audio is hit and miss for me. Sometimes I get audio from the dock connector (as preferred and as it's always worked), sometimes from the iPhone speaker, sometimes to bluetooth (headset).

In apps I won't have the dock connector source. I'll need to unplug it an replug it back in.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but safari doesn't seem to remember the order I arrange my app extensions in. From time to time, it rearranges itself back to default with messages and Mail first.

Landscape mode stopped working on my iPhone 5s until I restarted my phone.

Can't use timers whilst air playing. Timer goes off breaks the conection which is really frustrating when video won't resume from play point and scrubbing won't work smoothly due to buffering.

AirPlay also doesn't seem to work from within Netflix on Apple TV. Have to go to home screen.

Also need to start playing on iPhone first then use control center to activate AirPlay. Activating first video buffers and don't play

Dr who safari AirPlay.

iPhone 5 ios 8.02 In clock app I edit an alarm and pick a song as the alarm sound.

On occasions If I'm quick off the mark and manage to hit save before the audio starts previewing, I can end up with the song starting after I'm out of the Alarm edit screen.

At that point nothing other than a power off of the phone will persuade it to stop.

Anyone elses share sheet extensions not saving the positions of reordered extensions? when I quit the apps my extensions change back to the default position.

I've just discovered a bug on the iPhone 6 - don't think its been posted about yet.

If you pull down Notification Center, for some weird reason, (and you can try this on your phones and confirm) the weather is now NOT showing at the top, like it used to do before in iOS 7. It does show on my iPad 2 but not on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2??

EDIT: I've just opened up my native Weather app just to check the weather and now, even stranger, the weather is now indeed showing at the top of Notification Center (it 100% was not there before?)

Is it therefore possible that the weather will not show in Notification Center UNLESS you first open the native weather app?

Can someone else see if they replicate this on their phones?!

Anyone having issues with safari not loading web pages on data or wifi? It'll not load a webpage until I switch airplane mode on and off. I haven't tried another browser when it occurs yet.

Same here but on the iPhone 6

a loud audio screech
once yesterday iOS 8.0 - had headphones on after completing a call
once today iOS 8.0.2 - had just dialed a call

both times, sudden deafeningly loud screech electronic sounding mid to high pitch range less than a second in duration — headphone volume was less than 50% at the time

------

that has happened to myself and a friend during calls with iOS7 as well.

I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but swipe to go back a page in Safari ceases to work right after a download. Download something until it brings you to the "open in" page. Open attachment in another app. Double-click home button to bring up multi-tasking. Click on Safari to go back to Safari. Immediately swipe from left to right to go back to previous page. Doesn't work. You need to hit back arrow to go to previous Safari page.

Touchscreen problem?

I'm not sure what's going on but since this morning I'm having weird problems typing and tapping the screen to copy and paste. It stopped me from writing an email early and just now is not letting me type an URL address in the address bar. I never had an issue like this before with any iPhone.

It's hard to describe what happens, I try to type something then the iPhone paste content from I don't know where, then the Amplifying glass starts flickering, it even opened one of the extensions (Dashlane) without trying to do so.

I'm not sure if it's the iPhone (6+), the protecting screen or iOS8. The thing is that it just started happening this morning and I already updated to 8.0.2 when it came out.

I'm gonna start disabling stuff until I find what's causing this, if not I'm gonna have to contact Apple.

This is a known bug. I'd hoped it would be fixed on 802. Not so. Don't know if 8.1 did it or not.
The weather not showing in NC bug is 'almost' fixed in 8.1b1 that I'm running. Still happened for me once 2 days ago. But since then it's been fine. Remember that there actually has to be a change for it to update. So you can't just pull down the NC every 8 seconds and expect to see that window refresh. When it's working properly - people check it maybe 3,4,5 times a day - and it should update each time. If you're 'anal' about testing things as I am.. When you're on the road (and someone ELSE IS DRIVING!!!!) you can check it and it should change and update with every new town you're in.

I googled this but could not find it.
When typing an e-mail in landscape mode, I hit the back button to delete some text and the cursor moved over the text but did not delete it. I selected the word to delete and hit "cut" but the word itself did not delete. I can continue to type but deleting text in landscape mode doesn't work. This happened in Safari, Messages, and E-mail.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.02.

Black and white Spotlight Search bug on iPhone 6?

I'm not sure if this has been reported or not but sometimes when I do a spotlight search the screen gets blurry and dark. My phone is running 8.0.2.
