Each to their own I guess. I take a photo from lock screen I don't want to goto camera when I unlock phone 5 minutes later. If I wanted camera I would slide up from lock screen.

I can see where you are coming from, maybe with the camera app this should not be the default behavior.

That's all fine and great, and what you and maybe some others might want, but that doesn't mean that's the designed/intended behavior or that it's a bug (again, despite some people wanting it to work differently).

That dang keyboard is at it again. Hard to reboot to get it working again.

weather seems off. iMessaged a friend in the US saying how cold it was there. He sent a screen shot of weather showing it was 27 degrees. I sent one back showing -1 degrees

I'm not sure if there is really an issue. Is it possible that you used a different measurement? 27/-1 degree of what? Fahrenheit/Celsius? -26,6° F = -3°C. -1°C = 30,2°F.

nope. His picture showed sunny, mine showed freezing.

im not dumb

That wasn't the implication there. But you'd be surprised how easy it is to have a somewhat different location selected (that still appears with the same city name in the app). Don't forget, there's also another party involved even if you double-checked everything on your end.

@Zxxv: I tried to rule out some (obvious) mistakes, because the region format option in ios settings selects Fahrenheit for US and Celsius for UK. I couldn't replicate the issue with an american friend. We chose the city of Berlin and the weather app showed the same degree. Does it still happen or was it a one time thing?

They live there. Im sure they know where they live. And the fact they sent me a screen shot showed we were using the same location. I wrote this in my original post.

Havent checked or asked since.

The app generally just shows the city name and nothing more as I recall. So aside from knowing that the same city name is being used, it can't really be established that it is in fact the same exact city/location and not let's say a city of the same name selected from another state by accident, which can certainly happen (I was just reading a thread a few days ago where someone was complaining about the same kind of thing and it seems like after troubleshooting ultimately that seemed like that was at the heart of the issue).

I checked all the possibilities

When I delete my texts, it sometimes bugs out like this.

I also get the weird keyboard glitch toll (same as BrettApple)

Control center only seems to work in some areas, I find myself going back to home screen just to bring up control center.

Copy and paste still buggy as hell.

Control center is laggy as hell, nothing pretty about it .

There are so many bugs, and I'm on a 6+. It's sad really. I've never had such bad performance on an Apple device since I last jailbroke

Sideways control center. It got stuck like that for a while. Also doesn't come up half the time when it's locked, even though it is set to do so.

Yep, yep, yep, and yep. Really hoping by the time 8.3 rolls around it'll be better. If not, then iOS 9. If not, then I'll probably switch phones again for the 7th time in 12 months. There really is no perfect phone. The closest I got throughout 2014 was probably my M8 or Moto X. Both had the same fault, that being the camera was pretty meh. The iPhone has that covered, but needs to make major strides in fixing all the bugs in iOS.

I have been having wifi dropout issues with my ip6 recently. Also the phone has been very laggy the past week or so.
Not sure what's going on but I have to re enter my wifi password when my wifi drops out. I have power cycled my router with no luck.

It's rather mind boggling for a long time Apple customer to experience the dreadful instability of iOS 8. One minute I'm briskly answering emails, then poof! It crashes and I lose the rather lengthy message I had just about finished composing.

And that's but one of many examples. Most every app has crashed at one time or another, sometimes repeatedly, over and over. Browsers included.

Perhaps some time before years end, Apple will fix this thousand dollar bug house. I never thought Apple would let their work go out unfinished and acting like a cheap phone.

But Hey! There's a first and a new low even for Apple.

Proving you don't always get what you pay for.

YMMV :)

I asked Siri and was told the low was -0. That's not a typo.

My phone also lost cell service for several minutes for no reason that I could tell.

This happens to me also only at home. Doesn't happen to any other iOS device in the family including an iPhone 6.

A few other glitches here and there but iOS 8 is good across iPad 2, 5s and 6.

45 pages to look through so sorry if these has been mentioned before:

Spotify stutters when I go between apps, especially when I bring up the Safari tabs.

Asphalt 8 stutters a bit. I have seen a video on YouTube of someone playing the game on an iPhone 6 plus (which I have) but no stutter.

Are the above normal? All the software and apps are up to date.

Thanks

Every time I read something about stuttering I become skeptic, because it's subjective. People see stuttering where others don't.
Btw the above aren't related to iOS 8, not directly related at least. Out could be bad coding or something else. Does a restart solve the problem?

Post iOS 8 bugs here (updated)

I'm on 8.1.3 with my 6 plus, my phone does not like taking video in 60fps mode. First it would stop it at ten seconds or so, now it just crashes as soon as I begin recording. 88gb free of 128. Really frustrating as I take a lot of videos of my daughter. Works fine with 30fps but I prefer the 60. Anyone else?

Also, crashes seem more common in a lot of apps since 8.1.3. Really bad in the last two weeks or so. I did a fresh restore when I updated to 8.1.3.

Can't download an app from the App Store while in the App Store...

I've also noticed the 60fps camera crashing, freezing, and sometimes locking up the whole phone. Really annoying. Also one more reason I'm taking my simple Sony point and shoot with me to a concert tomorrow (DSLR's not allowed of course). I just don't trust my iPhone enough. That, and it has a zoom lens, haha. It shoots 60fps 1080p with OIS just fine, and I compared them last night and it's much smoother with the bigger lens and OIS. The 6 Plus is less noisy however, same with still photos. Less noise on 6 Plus, but better OIS on Sony.

I haven't had many apps crash, but Safari reloads and says it encountered errors a LOT. Mercury, Chrome, and Dolphin however are perfectly fine.
