Post iPhone 4 battery stats

wtf?? Impossible. Unless you were watching movies straight for 7 hours without wifi or 3G usage.

and brightness MAX? I call BS.
I work from 6:45am to 2:45pm, I work in a kitchen and therefore have no time to sit and watch movies, my phone stays in my bag while I'm at work but something obviously was running during that period. I took it out during my half hour break to send a few texts but that's about it. What would I gain from making this up?? Call it what you want but it's not bs, I was surprised myself when I looked at my usage and saw I had so much battery left.

Usage 4:42
Standby 2 days 5 hours

36%

Wifi: on
3g: on
Email: Manual, MobileMe Fetch

The iPhone 4 has much better battery! I love this phone and I'm coming from an iPhone 3g

I think there is something wrong with my iPhone 4 sadly :/

78%
Usage: 1 hour 52 min
Standby: 3 hours 42 min

wifi on
3g on
email fetch 15 min
bluetooth off
push on

This does not seem normal does it?

I tried an external battery charger on my iPhone 4 for about 2 seconds, thats about it. Went from 100% to 1% (off).

Is this good battery life? I watched a lot of videos, recorded, pictures, and played some games.

Wifi and 3G on
Bluetooth off
Brightness 50% (is on auto, so it's a little lower)
Location services all on
All apps that require push are on, and pushes email every 30min

Seems pretty normal to me. Depends on what you was doing for the 1 hr 52 mins, but you have 3G and WiFi on and your fetching your email every 15 minutes. You also have push on? With all that you've only lost 22%. I'd consider turning push off, fetching every hour, and changing the screen brightness settings to below half (which is more than fine for normal day to day use) and turn off auto-brightness. Obviously you may not be able to do all of this, but just some suggestions :)

Cool. Thanks for your reply/tips. Today is my test day because i have never let it drain all the way and i have heard that you should drain it once in a while.

Mine seems a little low, but I have been playing godfinger on it.
No push or fetch.
WiFi and 3G on.
Brightness about 75%

Guys,

I'm paranoid about battery life as everyone else in this thread is -- how does this look to you fellas?

3G + Wifi turned on, Brightness = auto/slider @ half. Main usage is Safari over Wifi and text messaging with some YouTube videos. Also, push and location services both off.

iPhone 4 exchanged due to battery

Hi guys,

My first post on here but must admit have been using MacRumors for advice over the last couple of years!

I exchanged my IP4 today as although not as bad as some have mentioned, it wasn't anyway near what Apple have advertised.

I went through the following -

5 full cycle recharges.

Complete restore of the phone as new (originally restored from back up).

Complete restore of the phone as new from a reinstalled iTunes (recommened by the Genius Bar assistant).

As a test I restored my IP4 and 3GS, updated my 3GS to OS4 and charged both 100% before going to bed.

Woke up in the morning to find my IP4 at 90% after 6 hours standby, with my 3GS at 97%. By the afternoon (12 hours standby), my IP4 was 75% and my 3GS at 90%. (zero useage, although admittedly it was showing up as a few minutes where I've pressed the home button to check the battery!).

Credit to Apple that the exchange was straightforward, lets hope this one is as good as some of the others out there!:D

Pretty happy with battery life. Whereas I had to charge my 3G at least 1-2X q day, this lasts me well over a day without having to plug in every night.
