I have a quick question. Does EACH push notification you have on drain the battery, or do notifications in general have the same drain? In other words, if I have push notifications on for every app that allows it am I seeing more battery drain that having say just Facebook and AIM pushing and every other push app turned off?

Hows My Battery?

3G - on
WIFI - on
Brightness - 33%
Push Notifications - On for Meebo
Email - 1 hour fetch for 3 accounts

Hows my battery life so far? I've just used it for text messaging, Facebook, and Safari so far.

My phone = Canadian iPhone 4, factory unlocked with no contract at the moment.

I put my iPhone in airplane mode when I goto bed but leave wifi on. Don't have push email and turn off fetch (just do manual at the moment). I also turn off all programs (double click home and toggle off all programs).

Going from a full charge last night, I still have 100% battery after 14 minutes of use and 8 hours and 49 minutes of standby.

I'd say easily I could get 10+hours of standby with 100% battery

I always get great battery life when I restart it in the morning. If I don't, I get very average. It's so strange. This is just texting all day/BeeJive, no iPod use.

Now. Why didn't the search tool bring up this thread?? I really need some help. iPhone barely 2 weeks old, and with deteriorating battery. Would upgrading to 4.02 fix this?

Wifi - on
3G - on
Push - off, manual.

Already did 3 full drains to see if that did anything.

I would think nearly seven hours of usage is at least average. Certainly not poor.

@ Fischer -- Thanks.

I've been having to charge it every night, it seems to act more like my old 3G in terms of performance.

Compared to the other stats posted on this thread, my battery is pitiful.

Seriously... 2 days standby is something to be desired, by my iPhone.

Spader, you can't expect your battery to last two days if you're using it two-thirds of the time from when you unplug it. If I used my phone like that I would need to charge it twice a day. Be thankful you have pretty good battery life compared to other iPhone 4s :)

Usage: 34 mins
Standby: 5hrs, 6 mins.
Battery 90%

Mine doesn't seem so great.

all you people getting 2+ days, how?!?!?

This was after it's first charge from 67% out of the box. Seems pretty good to me even though it is my THIRD iPhone
