I think the iPhone 14 next year is going to give a lot of people buyer's remorse over their iPhone 13 purchase this year

It just depends these days on when you need a phone. My XS Max unfortunately suffered liquid damage a week ago and that's why I need to change. If we keep regretting what comes next year we will never be able to purchase because the guys that buy 14 will feel bad when they see the 15.

I know the leak bombs on the 14 look dope but I think leaks are never a sure thing. They got the leaks on the 7 series watch wrong for a full year. It could be the same for the iPhone 14.

This looks like the camera and battery bump 11 users who waited were expecting.

The issue is I am not sure which of 13, 13 Pro or 13 Max I really want. I do want an improved camera and a large battery. Relative to the original 11 Pro max capacity, how do the 13 and 13 Pro stack up? I know 13 Pro Max has the best battery.

New redesign iPhones (if iPhone 14 counts as that) always have worse battery lives. I always avoid them (skipped iPhone 10, iPhone 12 for that reason). I’m likely waiting for iPhone 15 if I get this year’s model.

They've made it harder for me to decide between the Pro and Pro Max now that the camera systems are identical. I'm leaning towards the Max since there's that gorgeous new ProMotion display, but I've also recently been yearning for a more compact phone. Hmmmmm... Either way going with Sierra Blue and 512GB.

I'm debating on just keeping my 12. Though the 13 obviously looks nice, half of the new features I probably won't even use if I'm being honest. My 12 has seen better days though (no case, is cracked from me dropping it multiple times and my son getting a hold of it) so I may just do an express replacement since I have AC.

Pro Max 256 in Sierra Blue. Ordered the tan leather case to have in hand and will search for a nicer case later if needed.

Coming from an XR so it should be a significant upgrade for me.

The rumors were that the 13 Pro max gets a 4,352 mAh, 13/13 Pro gets 3,095 mAh

The 11 Pro max came with 3,500 mAh

As far the Pro Max's are conserned, its a +1,000 mAh after two years.

Not sure about this one. Wow, that camera bump is thick. Think how thick the cases need to be so it won't hit the table!

Staying on my XR, works just fine for what I do with it and the 13 didn't bring anything particularly interesting for me to the table. If mine broke and had to update, would probably just get a cheaper 12.

As a person whose still happily using my much loved 6s, I will at some point be buying the iPhone 13 Mini. It will be a significant upgrade from the iPhone 6s.

I understand the disappointment from users on an 11 or 12 though. Apple does a great job hyping and talking up features but in reality what they announced is very underwhelming for 11 and 12 iPhone users. I doubt many of those users will see and/or notice any real world difference.

If I wasn't on my 6s and in need of an upgrade I wouldn't be interested this year. Hopefully next year Apple decides to move the needle.

Well, I'm happy :) I'm coming from a 2016 SE so this is a big upgrade for me either way. I was hugely disappointed in the SE 2020 and it took me so long to get my hands on a 12 Mini to compare the 3 phones (both SEs and the Mini) that by the time I did, I was just hearing rumors of the 13 Mini so I held out. <whew> I was just about ready to get a 12 Mini this past spring.

The bump to 128gb is nice too.

I'm holding out my 12 Pro for now.. Ever since the pandemic started I have been working from home and we ain't moving back to the office, so a Max wouldn't make sense for me.

Honestly the only thing I want from these new models is ProMotion but I can wait another year instead of just upgrading from the 12 Pro to the 13 Pro.

I currently have an iPhone 11 Pro. I skipped the 12 so I was ready for this. Honestly, I think I’ll give it a miss for another year. At this point I feel like I’d just be dropping 1K for the sake of it. It’s a great phone is it’s own right but yearly upgrades just feel like waste of money these days.

Considering updating my 1st generation SE to one of the Mini models.13 Mini is shiny and new, but the 12 Mini is cheaper. Various shops here in the UK were discounting the 12 Mini already (e.g. John Lewis), so I'm hoping they reduce the price of it even more now that Apple has reduced the price.

Have 12 Pro, hate the weight of it. My hand literally gets tired holding it in bed. Considering "downgrading" to 13 or even 13 mini, now that they have basically the same camera specs as 12pro. Would be real nice to have a small and light phone again!

Same. Now Apple have the base 12 Mini at £599, Amazon and John Lewis still have it at £579 which is no saving really compared to before. Hoping it'll go under £500 soon.

Quite a tough call. Agreed this year’s lineup is underwhelming.

I am considering the 13 PM as my iPhone 12 mini is very weak on the battery and it degrades quicker than the other iPhones I had. That is one major factor in changing to the new 13PM. And the 120 promotion! Want to try the 6.7 screen too. Will buy the Sierra blue.

however if you have the 12 mini, the 13 mini, now with almost on par camera specs with the 13 pro, is quite a decider; considering the price option also. That ease of use and lightweight is second to none.

so I probably will look at the reviews online and YouTube before deciding which one. But currently mind is set on the 13 PM.

decisions decisions decisions.

Sticking with he XS Max!

Will see if I can upgrade the battery, but the improved camera is interesting but I won't be travelling for a while plus I have a DSLR.

13 Mini - I still hate Apple is getting rid of this but apparently the poll shows its not popular. I'd gladly pay for all of the Pro features in the smaller body. I just can't carry around a Mini iPad without a fanny pack or purse
