He is healthy and crazy He's at his rebellious teenage stage at the moment but I love him so much. He's such a little character. A real change from his start in life eh?

Here he is with his remaining eye very red because he's so tired.

We did a DNA test on him to find out what breeds he has in him and apparently one parent was a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Daschund cross and the other was a Cocker Spaniel/Weimaraner cross. So he is a Daschback Cockeraner.....which sounds kind of nice.

Love his face! Too precious for words. Glad he found a loving home with you to take care of him.

I know what you're going through, man. I had to put my poor old cat to sleep just the day before. He's been around for 20 years, since the day he was born in the bushes out beside the patio. The house feels a lot emptier and quieter without him following everyone around, talking to us all the while.

He was doing great for a cat his age. At least until about a week ago, when he suddenly took a sharp turn for the very worst. He's gotten sick a couple times before, and I thought he'd spring back like he always does, but...nope. Not this time. I took him to the vet, and they told me I didn't have any other choice. The best I could do was spend a ton of money just to have him linger about another week. It'd be better just to ease his suffering.

Truth be told, I was considering spending the money. After having him around for so long, he was more like a fuzzy little brother to me than just another cat. But that would've been more than a little selfish. He was hurting. I ended up doing the deed, and stood right by up to the ultimate moment. Never thought it'd be that bad, but it was a pretty damn hard thing to do.

Yeah, he was a homely old cat (hence why we called him Homer), but he was one of a kind. He'd follow me around, talked a bunch, and actually knew his name and would come to you when you called him. I'm gonna miss the little guy.
