Love it. What interface are you using for the LG ultra-wide? HDMI or did you have to rig a USB-C to mDP connection?
Love your setup. Love love love.
Very seriously thinking about duplicating it!

Most of my storage needs are networked - either local or cloud-based, so a big desktop computer or a laptop with multiple ports isn't really necessary for me any more. And almost any computer made in the last few years is fast enough for what I need, save for the occasional bluray handbrake rip for which I can keep my quad core 3.5GHz iMac tucked in a corner for; it runs my home iTunes/AppleTV server and a few other home automation things, so I can't completely get rid of it, but it can certainly be hidden away.

As soon as the 1.2GHz/512GB models hit the local Apple store stock, I'm pulling the trigger.

I am sure you will enjoy it. Might want to consider going for a BTO 1.3 GHZ. I tend to go for the max config if possible and I read in some posts that the 1.3 gives you even better battery life.

I am super happy with my setup now. I have the display at home, too and there attached to my NAS, Time Capsule and high speed network connection. The one plug really works for me, as it is so simple to plug and unplug. Overall for my "office" type of usage this is a great an capable machine. I even did some handbrake on it, but if you do this regularly you will be better off with your quad core that is for sure.

Getting the MBPr ready for sale. Still loving the MacBook!

You won't regret it, I don't miss my 15" rMBP at all.

To get back to you on your earlier request for some comparison between the 1.2 and 1.1, I've been using the 1.2 every day for the last 2 weeks and I can say that it handles all of my daily tasks without any lag or problems at all. Granted I don't use it as a work computer but a personal one but still, microsoft office is a breeze, (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), Safari, Firefox, mail, etc. I watch a lot of videos and do a lot of web browsing as well as email, and for that this computer is beyond perfect. Light portable and as comfortable and easy to handle as anything i would've dreamed about. The 1.1 I've used for short periods of time and used office in it, also some web browsing and video streaming. There is a difference, I won't lie, but I think it's only going to matter if you are switching between them one after the other, If you don't have a 1.2 to compare it to then you'll be perfectly happy getting around your daily tasks with the 1.1. After a while using the 1.1 I'd forget that it had that bit of lag compared to the 1.2 and it was only when I went back to mine that I realized there was a difference. So anyone not sure about the 1.1, if you're mainly going to be doing light photo editing, office, and web browsing and video, you'll be just fine.

Unfortunately, "we" got injured recently in an accident. I fell off a bike while carrying the 3-week-old MacBook in a case. The Mac still worked fine, screen in perfect condition; but the dents have brought trauma. I finally sold it 30% off. The new 1.3 Gold is arriving soon.

No prob, its a bit smaller than the native res but even stretched a bit you can't notice the pixels. I have a whole folder from the same artist, if you want all of them let me know and I can share it with you, or anyone interested.
i would love to get the pack of wallpapers if u don't mind

Anyone else watch Suits last night? (S5, E3) Mike Ross was using a space gray rMB aobut halfway into the episode.

Was going to post that as well. The non-lit Apple logo was a dead giveaway that it was the rMB. Interesting that the PC's at Pierson, Specter & Litt are PC's (Dell), whereas at home one of the lawyers, Mike Ross, uses a Mac. Rachel Zane's father was shown using a rMBP 13" at his office in the same episode.
