That's the exact model I use for hosting my OwnCloud server, and the only Mac I attach sentimental value to, as my Mom surprised me with it for my birthday one year in high school after I had fixed it for one of her coworkers. Nice machine!

Here's the Yosemite Kaleidoscope scheme that a few have asked me for. I originally linked it in an edited older post but most missed it. There are ten different copies of the scheme in the archive, but I think that they're all the same. The other archive is my converted San Francisco font for OS 9. I used Appearance Hopper to replace the system fonts with these. The bold fonts seem to work better, 10 point for small, 12 for large.

Since I can't post SIT files here, I upped them to my server.

Are these links still available? They seem to be down.

Mac mini loves Bertha :D No framebuffer corruption unlike on the PBG4SLSD/9700 so this is awesome.

WQUXGA really is sumpin' else, especially on 22 inches.

EDIT: The Mini boots at 1920×2400 but OS X switches to full resolution once WindowServer loads. Interestingly, booting Jaguar results in a broken greyscale 1920×2400 - I expected it to at least display 1920×2400 in colour due to falling back to the NDRV. I had Jaguar running at 1920×1200 in colour on the Mini using an ACD.
That Radeon 9200 can handle Big Bertha? Wow.

It's not PPC but please don't kill me!

Kudos to the person who can figure out what machine this is :)

I remember back in the day people tried this :)

it would boot but no GPU acceleration as the SL HD 3000 Graphics drivers did not have the right framebuffer personality of sorts for the MBA, I wonder if it would work if you copy the Lion framebuffer kext over into SL...

or do you have graphics acceleration somehow? :)

(on that note I know you can run SL without any issues on a 2011 Mac Mini :) )

@LightBulbFun

I have graphics acceleration and the internal LCD working. I do get heavy glitches (multiple horizontal stripes still showing what was previously on screen) on the LCD when the machine switches to the login screen or wakes up from sleep but these gradually disappear as the system is used, until it's eventually fine.

Sorry for German but here's what System Profiler says:

I still have to copy over the .plists to have SpeedStep/TurboBoost working correctly and the shortcuts on the keyboard's top row don't do anything, I can adjust brightness and volume using the usual ways tho.

I cloned the install from a 2011 13in MBP, i.e. another HD 3000 system. FWIW, the MBP's GPU has a device ID of 0x0126 whereas the MBA's is 0x0116.

TigerTube is the excellent player from @wicknix , Viewmaster and red icons are applet launchers for Mplayer and the Nintendo is my go to Gameboy emulator.

Oh, I'm really no more up-to-date, let alone didn't have the thime to figure out that Mplayer stuff yet. I guess it must have to wait until long winter nights come ...
But TigerView and @wicknix' other stuff gets an update on my PB tonight! "Instant Karma"! :D

Currently I'm plagued how and when (and if ever) I have to the migrate to Win10/WinServer2016 at the office.
Thankfully only 3 Windows-Clients left, that have to be upgraded to Win10pro (luckily the free upgrade is still available ...) But I fear, that all my white c2d iMacs with Lion will become forced to obsolescense, if the latest version of MS Remote Desktop 8 should be refused by the Server ... (that RDP8-client version for Lion isn't even available from the AppStore anymore)
